Gamestop overhauling trade-in program. Giving people more money for games.

This is good news to me as I trade every game in when I'm finished with it. They will give at least 20% more as well as simplify it. Some might argue and say this is still a rip-off, but it's better than nothing.

• New initiative will begin August 18.
• Aims to reduce complexity; no longer will you need to put money toward a preorder or other promotion to get the maximum value for a game.
  
• The in-store credit value will remain larger than the cash value for trade-ins.
  
• Average price paid per game will rise by 20 percent.
• Expect to hear about this in-store; store associates are being informed to ramp up face-to-face massaging about the new initiative, in a bid to get people to trade in more games.

You just missed out on trade in sales from best buy and gamestop giving good money for 360s. But MS does not offer such a trade in program

Dude , yesterday I was at GameStop and they're giving 90% more for trade in!! Call your gamestop and ask about it asap

 

Well, I want to sell my GTaV. So this is good news for me.

 

I never trade in games but this sounds like good news for the gamers who do and you say their doing face massaging as well..can't beat that bonus lol

 

This is good news. I have a few games that I might trade in. Not sure how I feel about the massages, though. Maybe, if she's cute....

 

Face massages are so relaxing though.

 

Gamestop is trying to save their business.

If I were a betting man, sometime in the next 10 years they're going out of business.

Yay more annoying employees trying to shove stupid trade in programs down your throat. I'm so glad Best Buy does trade ins.

 

Forget trade in value, ask them to reduce the purchase price........ let's see if that idea works

You do know an accual disk is not part of the EA deals right??? I maybe wrong.......

 

Why would you want the disc if you are getting EA access?

 

I think youve been hitting the bong a little too hard Kaos. We were talking about people trading all of their EA game disc in at a +20% increase on August 18th. Can you imagine all of the maddens and bioshocks people want to get rid of because they are going
to buy EA Access?
