Gamesharing isn't working properly for me.

I understand you need help on your Home sharing feature problem.

Have you tried checking on his subscription if it is still active?

If you are only able to play his games but not his subscription, his subscription may have been expired or suspended.

If that is not the case, try doing a reset and set up his account as home Xbox again.

refresh the console's system cache.

NOTE: This will remove the profiles on your console, make sure that you remember the email and password to your account.

No data or game saves will be lost doing this, everything is backed up to the cloud servers.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select Settings.

3. Select System.

4. Select Console info

5. Select Reset console.

6. Select Reset and keep my games & apps

This will also help sync the data on your console properly.

What you are doing is a violation of the code of conduct and not what the My Home Xbox feature was designed for. You could end up with Enforcement action for sharing account information.

However, they don't put a restriction on which console you can designate as the Home Xbox, so if he isn't sharing account information, he isn't violating anything in the Code of Conduct.

If you have set the account that owns the gold membership and has claimed the games with gold, (to play games with gold you need an ongoing gold membership) the other account in that console should have no issues.
