I have a friend who is wondering whether to get xbox one or xbox one s, however I wanted to know if they got xbox one s would I be able to gameshare from my xbox one to their xbox one s?

Xbox One Gamesharing

He would have to set your console as his Home console. You would then have access to anything he has downloaded as well as anything he downloads in the future. However, keep in mind that if he is sharing games with anyone on his console, they will lose access
to those games. If he changes him Home setting anywhere else, you will lose access to the games. Also make sure he knows you can only change your Home setting 3 times a year.

Xbox One Gamesharing

Hey there, Witcher 3 came out pretty recently, my friend has it digitally download through the xbox store. I asked him if I can play it as well, and he said sure we'll gameshare. So my question is, can you gameshare one way only? So I get to download Witcher
3 and that's the only thing (so nothing else is being shared). Does he need my account info too, or just me with his info and can download the game?

The only differences between the console are the fact that the S is a little smaller and supports 4k. Everything else works exactly the same way.

May have nothing to do with the issue but it should be noted!

Some Series X/S games (Like Madden) you can only play people with the series X/S

Make sure the the correct version is installed on the consoles, X/S games do not run on the Xbox one.

You can gameshare among accounts in xbox one through the xbox home setting, yet you can't pass saves or achievements from one account to the other.
