    Games won't run when connected to xbox live


    As the subject, games won't run when I'm connected to xbox live. After clicking on play game disc the screen goes black.. pressing the home button brings out the menu and if I chose the option to return to dashboard, the console freezes. All the games
    I've tried runs without any issue once not on Xbox live. Tried the following ; 1. Delete and download profile 2. Delete hdd cache, and removing any corrupted files in the hdd (none found) 3. System update removal and reinstall. But the problem still persist.
    These steps were advised by.Xbox customer support. Will contact them again. Could this be a Xbox live issue? Dun seem to be anything wrong with the hardware since the games run fine without Live? I'm in Singapore by the way... maybe it's a regional issue.
    Anyone else in Southeast Asia or Singapore having these issues?

    When you say it won't let you sign in, is your Xbox connected to the internet, or is it that your profile is corrupt and won't sign in (ie, if you run a connection test does the test run ok?)

    yes he is connected to xbox live but the game still won't play..

    I am sorry to hear about the issue you're having. Let's see if we can fix that. So I see that you have tried everything recommended and the problem is still there. It is not an xbox live issue due to the fact that our system says it's up and running. You
    can check out what is up and running, off, or limited.
    support.xbox.com/.../xbox-live-status

    So getting back to your problem, I can't seem to find anything under that. If there is not an exact error code, I can not help you any further on my end. But, who might be able to help you is Microsoft. You can contact them at 1-800-4-my-xbox (1-800-469-9269).

    Found a workaround from this forum. At startup , choose not to load any profile. then start a game. once the game is running, u can then load a gamer profile. working so far for my son. He's able to play fifa14 and titanfall with workaround. will contact
    microsoft again to clarify matters.

    just a quick update ... everything seems back to normal now.. i can start the console as per normal, connect to Live automatically and the games all run now. weird. just glad its resolved

    Cannot connect to Xbox Live

    When I first switch my xbox on it takes a while to load up and i get a Can't Sign In msg. I get the same message if i then select connect to live from the guide button. I have run a connection test on both wired and wireless and the both connect to the internet
    but won't connect to Live.

    Its a free game but it still uses parts of the Xbox systems, so you need a Xbox Live Gold connection to play it.

    ie" when Xbox Live has problems, it makes it hard to play at time as it won't run without Live even if you are Gold.

    Their is often deals that if you do a Xbox trial, then go Gold, you can get a free premo tank.

    I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE

    Just run a Network Xbox LIVE connection test and then it will ask you if you would like to update, hit "yes" and all should be good. This tends to help if it won't download the update at the start when you turn your Xbox on.
