Games wont play, everything else will.

Have you tried this:

1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

2. Wait 30 seconds, then plug the power cord back in.

3. Press and hold the BIND (controller sync button located on the left side of the console or bottom right if a one S or one X) and the EJECT button and then just press the Xbox button on the console once.

4. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.

5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

7. To reset your console from the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter, use the D-pad and A button on your controller to select Reset this Xbox.

9. When prompted, select Keep games and apps. This option will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps.

Thank you for keeping us updated. The article that XBF Ezra G provided regarding

system updates on the Xbox One contains a section that allows you to download the offline system update. Once you click on the link for the article, you will see two options to choose from. The one you want to select says, "I need to update my console offline."
At his point, you just need to follow the instructions of the article in order to download the offline system update. Be sure to let us know the results!

Where do I find the download files to do that

so i finally was able to do the update offline and it did not work. so now i dont know what else to do. just watched a DvD on it earlier today, it acts like its about to load the game then kicks me right to the home screen. is it just dead or can it be
a small component that reads the games?

Yea I factory reset i . Even deleted the games and still nothing. Just havent done a offline update on it. Where can I get the files to do that?
