Games won't launch

Hi,

First of all, English isn't my primairy language so my apologies for any errors I might make.

When I turned my xbox on this morning none of my games would launch (disc and downloaded games on my console). The screen goes black as if it is launching and then nothing happens. When i try to return to the main page the screen freezes. I looked it up
on xbox support and it said to remove my harddrive, so i did and the games worked, but when i put it back in the problem was back. It said i should get another harddrive because the one i had is probably broken. So i transferred the data on my harddrive to
my new one and when i launched any game it said it needed to download an update so i did, and when it was finished i had te same problem as before. So the solution provided by xbox support didn't really work out. I hope one of you guys had this problem aswell
and was able to fix it. if so, please let me know!

May be you game file while downloading too long time was corrupted. Any way try first power cycle, then redownload a game.

Hi! This sounds like an issue that might be fixed by performing a power cycle/hard reset. Please follow these instructions to make sure you are performing it properly:

https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/power-cycle-console (you will notice if the console restarts itself automatically and needs a little longer to boot up)

If above doesn't work, it's also worth a try to remove your profile from the console and download it again afterwards. That way the console is forced to check for your game licenses again.

 

Sorry you are having this problem. It is a known issue that they are working on and hope to have it fixed soon.
