games without combat?

completely off the top of my head topic i want to put out before i forget or lose interest in...how many games don't really have you wasting dudes at the drop of a hat? i'm talking about games like brothers or limbo where you might kill or even fight just
one thing in the entire game. i love games that put the environment over...i don't want to say gameplay, because environment kinda becomes gameplay at that point, but for sleeplessness lack of a better word let just call it "gameplay". i know someone is gonna
mention alien isolation, but from gameplay i've seen i think you're put in situations to kill people or androids or whatever with some amount of regularity...ish. i want games where you straight up don't pick up any weapons at all in the entire game.

Its also worth knowing that even if you don`t yet own an xbox one you can "download" the free games direct from your 360 dashboard.

It doesn`t exactly download them there and then, it saves that free game to your download history and it will be there ready and waiting if you ever buy an xbox one.

Just click on the xbox one box showing rayman , right next to the tomb raider box on your dashboard.

But the problem somehow fixed itself, though I'm definite that yesterday and the day before yesterday it was asking me to buy gold subscription. I tried to download the game both from the console and the website several times.

And just now I was going to copy the text from the purchase page and it said Free.

Well putting your Forza and all your sports games to one side you should check out...

"Zoo Keeper".

Actually a very entertaining and chilled out game. You manage a zoo. Put in animals and attractions you think will attract people and manage the whole thing. My wife taunted me for having bought a "girl's game" but within 5 minutes of watching me play
she became the Zoo's manager, telling me what I had to buy next and do.

"Murdered Soul Suspect"

You solve your own murder. Decent looking considering it wasn't produced by a massive Publisher / Development Team. You'll solve crimes, posess people and even cats. Great for people who love to explore and collect. You can pick this up for really cheap
too. Definately worth a playthrough.

"Alien: Isolation".

Some people were really upset they couldn't duke it out toe to toe with the Alien and beat it up, or blow it to pieces. But then those who remember the original 1979 Ridley Scott Classic know how unrealistic and silly that would actually be. Rather than
throw you into a grave yard, abbatoir, decrepit disused insane asylum or some other ridiculous place you'd never go to in an attempt to scare... "Alien" takes what was once a functional, safe, everyday environment and brings the terror to you. The subtle
use of the Kinect sensor brings a huge depth of immersion (though the Kinect is not required). Brilliant "Survival Horror" and probably the truest "Survival Horror" and best "Alien" game yet released.

Deus Ex - Human Revolution

You can play through in stealth mode and not take out a single person, apart from the boss fights (but apparently in the recently released Directors Cut version you are able to play through the boss fights in a different and stealthy way too)

 

probably should've elaborated...this is just a conversation about the games, i'm not actually looking for myself.

i think from the one short trailer we got at the ps4 announcement event, the witness looks like it'll be straight puzzle solving and exploring the world...kinda like a new myst.

 

You do not get any weapons in Outlast. You get a video camera and that's it.

I killed an awful lot of synthetics in Alien Isolation.

 

There's Pneuma:Breath of Life out on the 27th.

That looks to be just puzzle solving with no combat.

Quite like the look of it myself.

 

Slender: The Arrival, you only have a torch and don't kill anything through the game.

Hitman, doing the silent assassin approach is always my favourite way, don't kill anyone except the target and if you need an outfit you do the non-lethal take down and hide the body.

Styx and Dishonoured, you can complete the whole game with killing anyone, granted you can knock out whoever you want in dishonoured, Styx isn't quite the same as you can actually sneak through it without touching anyone, except a few forced kills.

 

I suppose the Portal games are ranked as some of the best uses of environment gameplay and lack of bashing, maiming, shooting, cutting, slicing, outflanking, stealth takedown'ing, stabbing, nudging, pushing,
shoving... *rambles on while walking away*

 

Check out Life is Strange.Its really good.Syberia is good too.Both are on the 360.

 

What system are you talking about? Life is Strange is a game I want to check out especially since it just came out on the ONE.

 

There is a demo for Life is Strange on xbox one I believe so you could check it out.

Enjoyed episode one myself,rewinding time to solve the puzzles is quite good & not overly complicated.

 

Yeah, I think I will. I just started playing Murdered Souls Suspect, but once I'm done that I will check it out. I was never able to play more than 1 game at a time.
