Games with Gold

@Benocide- I think you are slightly mistaken. Microsoft is only bigger than Sony if you go by revenue and even then, it isnt MUCH bigger. Sony has nearly twice as many employees and makes dozens more products. That being said, MS still shouldnt have any
problem offering up comparable AAA titles for GWG, especially since there are so many people that already own atleast one of the "free" games every month.

@brandiesel1-I have a friend in Ireland and he doesnt have any problem getting the free games. He gets them the same time that I do, always has.

 

I agree with those who say that people shouldnt complain about free games but those of us that have already paid for those titles are completely getting the shaft. The current format only benefits those who have NOT bought these games and in most cases,
spend a LOT less money on XBL Marketplace in general. There should be something in place to take care of the people that have already bought the games that are being offered for free. ALL Gold subscribers should have the SAME benefits.

 

Savior, Guacamelee is debuting as a free GwG, so no one has purchased it yet.

As far as offering Max twice, I personally am not too upset, since I am slow with games and this gives me some more time to finish the games I have. However, I did grimace when I read this news, if only because it's still MORE ammo for those fanboys who
hate the Xbox. GwG is run the exact same way as PS+ is run on PS4, so there is absolutely no excuse for us to not get the same quality (and quantity) of games as those on PS+.

 

Ok, well i've barely downloaded any gwg on the 360 because most where games that most people had played anyway. MS didn't get this right imo, but then PSN+ was introduced after psn had been hacked and the consoles modified. None of this existed at our best
interest, there are some good free games to be had. I like twin stick shooters so i'll play that halo game, simple

 

@DragonSlayer thats kind of the point I was trying to make. I am not upset about the quality of the titles being offered, Im more upset they are offering the same title 2 months in a row. It just seems like when MS implements an idea they do it half cocked.

 

They stated at the start it was one game a month for the XB1. As for the 360 v PS+ at least you own the free games with the 360 they are not dependent on your Gold Sub unlike the PS+ games.

 

I looked for Guacamelee yesterday and didn't see it. Is it a July 15 game?

 

No, it's out now - I downloaded it yesterday evening. If you can't find something, try using the Bing search function on your console.

I've had people call me arrogant in the past because I do act like I know everything from time to time and although I don't know everything, I do still know a lot and try to approach things from a practical standpoint whenever I can - I've become significantly
more humble and careful with things I say over the past few months due to past transgressions with other posters as well.

As for how much I game, it has indeed come to a point where I'm on the forums more than I game, but I do still use my Xbox consoles to play games and do other things - at least 3 hours a day if I were to put a number to it, which is a lot considering all
of the other things I make time for in my life.

Regardless of what you or anyone else thinks of me, I'm here because I enjoy it and the people I socialize with (most of the time). I also enjoy helping others whenever and wherever I can. If I end up being wrong about something, I accept that and move on
(which I admit I didn't often do in the past) rather than holding a grudge - after all, those are the worst things to have.

 

I was hoping they keep Street Fighter, I missed out on that.
