@ngocphi No mate, it's not. I live in Malta. I suppose I could try to use a VPN and make my physical region as UK. Theoretically it should work.

Still that does not explain why I can get some free games with gold and some others I cannot. Also the issue only happens with x360 games and never x1 games. And only with the free games too. never had any issue with xbox 360 demos or paid for items. Given
that I think it is a glitch in the system somewhere.

That would be the issue then. Malta is not an official Xbox Live supported country and is also the reason you cannot download some content.

Using a VPN will also not work as the system will still recognize that you do not live in the region that you are trying to download from.

Same problem here, cannot download Dirt. I don't want to try the "region change" (even if I think all is set to UK for me) because I have a Music pass and it says explicitly that it will get cancelled.

Edit: solved. I am abroad on holidays and tried to buy from here (outside UK) (still living in the UK though!).

Solution: I VPN-ed to a server in the UK and purchased. It worked.

I'm in the US and I never saw Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising even show up as available under the Games with Gold even though I got the email saying it was. It's now Jan 3rd and the promotion is over what can I do to get this game or a credit to my account
for 9.99 so I can go and buy it from the xbox store?

Sorry but they do not give out credits if you missed an offer. The best advice is to keep an eye on majornelson.com for updates on current and future offers.

I have that error too. MS support told me to delete my profile on the X1 and redo it. Problem did not go and I already missed Dungeon Siege and Operation Flashpoint. Now I cannot get Dirt which is weird really, because some games I get, some others get the
purchase error.

Everything in my account seems to be set to the UK (Billing Address and Payments). I am not aware what DRmozr meant when he said registration. Is that gamertag registration? I clicked the link DRmozr provided and changed to UK as suggested but it said I
cannot change reason either, presumably because I am already set to the UK. Is there a way I can check where my Gamertag is currently set?

Also Onyx62is said it was a glitch on the 17th of Dec. No mate, you're wrong, I have been having since backward compatibility was launched. Happens only with some Xbox 360 games and happens from both the X1 and the website (accessed from my PC).

I doubt if MS have any solution to this. Pity they don't monitor the forums either because otherwise someone from their side might provide a solution.

Ok, first off your account is showing as Silver. You cannot take advantage of the GwG games if you do not have an active Gold membership (trial codes are not included).

Also, if you are getting directed towards a US gateway then your gamertag may be set to US as the region. You would need to migrate your tag back to the UK.

HI. The issues is occuring with me as well for both Sacred 3, and Operation Flashpoint.

I am in the UK and can see them 'free with GWG', and it seems to want to force you toward a US payment gateway, then says 'Your purchase cannot be completed at this time. Please try again'.

Please fix this before the free games expire (operation flashpoint in particular).

It is odd that you were able to download those two games on the One with a trial membership. It's not supposed to work that way.

I do want to mention though that you will lose access to those games (if you are playing them now) when that trial runs out unless you are sharing a Gold membership with another gamertag on the Xbox One.
