I am trying to get Operation Flashpoint : Dragon Rising which is free with gold this month.

I am trying through marketplace.xbox.com as my 4GB XBOX 360 doesn't have enough space yet and I still want to claim the game for my account.

I am constantly getting "Your purchase cannot be completed at this time. Please try again." when trying to claim the game.

Its impossible to ger Burnout Paradise at Games with Gold and the message appers: "Sorry. Your purchase cannot be completed at this time. Please try again."

There was an issue with purchasing and downloading from the marketplace last night that may still be affecting the system.

Can you try purchasing the game from the marketplace on the console to see if it works (you can cancel the download after starting it).

If it does not work then give it a few hours and try again.

Same for me. I am trying to free purchase it from my xbox one and from my laptop and I get the same message "Your purchase cannot be completed at this time. Please try again.", the game Sacred worked but this one wont work.

 

HI. The issues is occuring with me as well for both Sacred 3, and Operation Flashpoint.

I am in the UK and can see them 'free with GWG', and it seems to want to force you toward a US payment gateway, then says 'Your purchase cannot be completed at this time. Please try again'.

Please fix this before the free games expire (operation flashpoint in particular).

Ok, first off your account is showing as Silver. You cannot take advantage of the GwG games if you do not have an active Gold membership (trial codes are not included).

Also, if you are getting directed towards a US gateway then your gamertag may be set to US as the region. You would need to migrate your tag back to the UK.

I am on a 14 day trial (just got the xbox as a present on the 25th), and will be upgrading to gold.

Although, I have successfully downloaded and played Thief and Van Helsing which are GWG games so I don't know where that leaves the situation.

Oh also, I am definitely set to UK in all profiles, payments, and registration.

It is odd that you were able to download those two games on the One with a trial membership. It's not supposed to work that way.

I do want to mention though that you will lose access to those games (if you are playing them now) when that trial runs out unless you are sharing a Gold membership with another gamertag on the Xbox One.

 

Hi.

I just went gold and the situation partially improved. It now says free (instead of 8.99) when I go to buy, but the purchase (frree) still fails to complete.

 

From looking at other peoples issues, it seems there was a glitch where my account had two regions, UK and US.

By restating that I am in the UK by using the account migration link here it all now works. Well the purchase of the free GWG game was successful I am just waiting to see if it pops up on my XBOX One.

All my data, subscriptions and games are still intact. Just a heads up for those struggling with this error. I knew something was iffy when I found out that I had the option to switch from 'UK' to 'US' in a drop down menu when adding payment methods.

EDIT: This works. I now have both this months 360 GWG games installing on my XB1 after this error. You scroll to the very right of the games list and you will see smaller icons waiting to be installed.

I have that error too. MS support told me to delete my profile on the X1 and redo it. Problem did not go and I already missed Dungeon Siege and Operation Flashpoint. Now I cannot get Dirt which is weird really, because some games I get, some others get the
purchase error.

Everything in my account seems to be set to the UK (Billing Address and Payments). I am not aware what DRmozr meant when he said registration. Is that gamertag registration? I clicked the link DRmozr provided and changed to UK as suggested but it said I
cannot change reason either, presumably because I am already set to the UK. Is there a way I can check where my Gamertag is currently set?

Also Onyx62is said it was a glitch on the 17th of Dec. No mate, you're wrong, I have been having since backward compatibility was launched. Happens only with some Xbox 360 games and happens from both the X1 and the website (accessed from my PC).

I doubt if MS have any solution to this. Pity they don't monitor the forums either because otherwise someone from their side might provide a solution.

 

@moghu is your physical region UK? If not that would be why

If your account region and actual region match question do you use Virgin or skybroadband

If so contact the pprovider and ask for hardreset info

There is a known problem with their home hubs

 

In some cases the home hubs had to be replaced due to incompatibility with most gaming services
