Games With Gold - Xbox One in 2nd tier countries.

When Xbox One was announced I pre-ordered it through the dashboard, and have been waiting ever since because of your rather strange decision to delay the release here in Norway. The excuse about localization doesn't hold as everyone here speaks English

Anyways. You just started up with Games with Gold on the Xbox One. Even your Norwegian xbox.com site has a Norwegian news about this. Your official Norwegian Xbox One Facebook site too.

I even got a news mail from you telling us about this.. in Norwegian.

But its not. Its not available in Norway. If you try to access the games pages for those games that you offer this month you will get an error message telling you that its not available.

I can't see any reason for this. And there's no excuse when you actually send localized emails and news about it.

Since the Xbox One haven't been released here I can understand that you are unable to download it, and perhaps even not access the marketplace on imported xboxes. But not that you can't access the market place on xbox.com. We should be able to, and "buy"
the Games with Gold offers, and have them ready on our account the day we finally get our pre-ordered consoles.

Or are you gonna screw us on this thing too?

did you pick UK or US as your account region?

if so that would be why

when creating an account your account region MUST match your actual region

One too many messengersHere's the contradictory part. The Xbox Support twitter account has replied to users' concerns over traveling with and importing the Xbox One.

"Unsupported countries would not have the full experience, and may not work," tweeted this official Microsoft account.

That should concern travelers. How about importers who have an Xbox Live account in the U.K., but reside in a country outside of the 21?

"They would want to wait until the console is available in their region," tweeted Xbox Support.

basically you cannot access the xbox one marketplace since there is no norway xbox one marketplace as it is NOT actually up yet

each marketplace like xbox 360 regions are actually seperate

 

it doesnt prevent you from using your account but there is no norway CONTENT till it is actually a supported region for xbox one

All of what you are answering I kind of already implied in my question. So it adds nothing new to my qustion. I want to know what MS ismdoing to compemsate us who payed in andvance through pre-orders to be able,tomtakemadvantage of all such offers as these
available through for instance Games With Gold.

We're missing out and I cannot fathom why. We dont need no localization. So will these games be availeble for free again for our region at release day? Etc...

If you aren't an offical or can't point to an exact answer to this question then please refrain from answering.

Until your actual région is supportéd there is no marketplace

Localisation is backed by both your government and international laws

Until You can see a localized marketpllace you dont have one importing something meaans You take your chances

Actually it does where is this marketplace you think exists it does not yet

News.Xbox.com and supported regions pages will tell you what exists

You cannot ask for content where it does not exist

Since Norway isn't a supported region yet

You took the risk of buying a console knowing full well you would not be supported yet that's life

 

Fyi this is not the area to ask anyways feedback and wishlist forums is the actual place to ask for stuf

 

Not sure why someone should pay you for jumping the gun when the warning was given when you buy imports that's with everything you can't ask for out of region support when it's not even in your region

You are basically preordering service and demanding something that doesn't exist

Let's say Netflix is heading to Norway in 2years but you buy a Netflix membership now you really expect netflix to pay you because you couldn't wait till you were supported even though they told you otherwise

Use common sense

You can't ask for service that doesn't exist yet or supported if you jump the gun it is on you
