Games with Gold won't show as free

I love Games with Gold.

I've just re-upped my live subscription and am trying to download both free games. When I click "Download to Xbox 360" Both times it shows that I will be charged the full price for the item in the "Confirm Purchase" popup. In the past, it's
always shown as a $0.00 is billed to my payment account.

My next step is to just wait until tomorrow, but this would be nice if it were fixed.

gold live trial - does not show on console

Hi there,

Trial memberships do not show up as real memberships, so your account won't appear as a Gold account. There may be some restrictions/limitations to trials.

I also do not believe that free Gold trials allow you to download Games with Gold titles.

Forza Horizon 2 is not backwards compatible. So it won't show as available to download on the One unless you get the One version (which will be free next month with Games With Gold).

Hi there,

Currently it doesn't seem like your profile has as Xbox LIVE Gold subscription. It can take a while to appear on your profile. If it doesn't appear soon, take a look at your billing page here:

account.xbox.com/.../Manage

Can you see that you have an active Xbox LIVE membership? If so, it may just take a while to update.

I have the same problem, I've just redeemed my 1 month membership code and have other gold functions available, but I can't download this months games for free. Do I have to wait or something?

If that's the one month trial, the Gold subscription won't show up in your account, since it's free and a trial.

Try to go online and download the free games with Gold, and that should be a proof of your being on Gold.

Are you sure you are reading it right?

It won't show free if it is game switch gold which it isn't atm

It is probably under the deals with gold which explains the 14.99 price

Xbox 360 GWG won't say this. These digital games are a truly a free bonus and do not require a Xbox Gold sub. They will not show 'Play for now or buy to own'

Anytime something is on sale, or free, the marketplace will still show the regular price underneath the sale price. As long as you see the "Gold Exclusive Price" of free and it shows a free before you confirm the purchase, then you won't be charged.
