Games with gold unable to be played without active subscription

I've been directed here from Xbox support. I am unable to use games purchased from games with gold without an active gold subscription. I was told i'm meant to raise this issue to an ambassador and that they would be able to fix this issue.

The 360 games with gold games can be played with or without a gold subscription. The Xbox One games require a gold subscription in order to be played unless you actually purchase the games. That policy has actually been in place since Games with Gold started
on the One.

 

Xbox One games with gold games require a gold subscription in order to continue playing the games for free. The 360 games do not.

 

I was informed that that is not the case.

Just to confirm, the ambassador is correct. You are required to have a Gold subscription to play GWG titles. They also provided a link to check out. Be sure to read up on that. Thank you.
