Games with gold too late?

FFXI has been available for the Xbox 360, since 2006. So no, it's not the first time you can play it on the console. It was also available for the PS2 in Japan and America, but SE cancelled support for it a year or so ago.

YEP, That was the expansion I saw. Now if I am not mistaking, is this going to be the first time you are able to play XI on the xbox console? I really had thought I had the original XI with all the add ons but it was for the PC only, not the xbox. And
seeing as I hate playing on PC I never played it.

The expansion you probably saw, was for Seekers of Adoulin, the fifth expansion for the game. To play it on your Xbox 360, you need the original game... which you'd only be able to get a complete copy from SE's online store I'm afraid. You could try eBay,
Craigslist etc... but to make your account for FFXI, you need the registration codes which are one use only.

Might have to clear up on the cancelled part. Cancelled as in people outside of Japan can no longer play the game on the PS2 (I think people can still play the PS2 version)? or cancelled as in "any future expansions after Wings of the Goddess will no longer
come out onto the PS2"?
