Games with gold problem.

I've been on tech support for two hours trying to fix this, they guy I was talking too had me repeat myself on the issue six times and after spending an hour deleting my account and restarting constantly ammong other things he simply said "Go to the forums"
I had to ask where the forums were and he wouldn't really tell me. He told me to Google games with gold and try some links. I really want to think he was trying his best but I'm sure he didn't care about actually helping me.

My issue is that I've got a gold subscription, but for some reason I can't access to games for gold or deals with gold section. Where that would normally be is a "join now and star saving" box, that brings me to a section where I can buy gold.

I can connect to online games and play fine, but aside from that my console doesn't seem to think I have a gold subscription.

List of things we've already done:

The tech support person had me delete my account from the Xbox, restart multiple times, power cycle, cancel my subscription and enter another subscription code (twice) check my internet settings, switch from wireless to wired.

I'm not sure what to do and by being sent to "the forums" I'm sure I've just been written off.

I hope some community members can help me.

Problem with Games with Gold

What happens is that it doesn't ask for a payment method, when I click in "download" appears an error message, it says: "This file is corrupted or it isn't avayable in your region. Please try again".

I don't live in the US, actually I live in Brazil, but my xbox live gold account is from USA, I tried to region migrate my account to the brazillian xbox live but I cant, I've checked the things that can go wrong in the region migration process and none
of those is happening to my account.

 

Problem with Games with Gold

When the GwG started I successfuly downloaded the games (on demand and arcade), but after the change from microsoft points to real currency, I cannot download the games for free anymore, just the arcade games. I have no credit card in my account. What should
I do, do I need a credit card?

Are you using the same credentials to log into live that you use to log in to the forums? If so you are only showing up as silver here. You may have already tried this but log out of your profile and log back in. Sometimes it does take a little time to
sync up.

 

If you used a trial codes that would be why

Trial codes do not make you gold or access to games with gold

It only gives temporary multiplayer access

If you are on a home gold console and trying to download a 360 game with gold

Two things

First only the master account on a home gold console can get games with gold on the website including 360 games

As home gold only covers the console not 360

 

i am having the same problem with gold but also my profile name has been changed and my gamer score has been reduced to zero. on top of this i cant get in contact with support at all.

 

if they dont fix this its gonna be the last straw for me. i have had issues with xbox and all of its accessories ever since 360. i have invested thousands of dollars over the years and now have nothing to show for it. still havent been able to contact support
through any medium.

 

also it says i posted these last two messages at 9:05 am and 9:13 am. it is currently 4:22 am. wtf is that all about. and also... still crickets from support...

 

You do realise these forums are mostly answered by volunteers? We are just regular gamers & can't be on here 24/7.

Same here. Logged on this morning to download the Sherlock Holmes game, and even though I still have a subscription to Gold until mid-May - which my account information acknowledges - the Games With Gold panel on Xbox One just asks me to subscribe, as does
the Games With Gold page on Live. I've tried the usual hold-the-button-in-unplug-for-five-minutes thing to no avail.

I've also tried getting the game for free by searching the store, and it allowed me to quite happily. It even showed up on my Games and Apps page - but it wouldn't download. There's something messed up at Microsoft's end, not mine.

This is only the latest issue, by the way. I couldn't connect to Live at all on 360 for two days, then this morning it finally responded to a reset of network settings and a plug pull. Only mentioned because it may be related.

 

Above should read "...as does the the Games With Gold page on the Xbox website." Forgive me. I'm expecting the usual long haul on this one.

The end of the second sentence above should read "...as does the Game With Gold Page on the website." Forgive me. My blood sugar's low, and I have a feeling this one will run and run.

 

Just an addendum, as if I haven't blathered enough. The Sherlock Holmes game DID download in the end, though the panel on the interface continues to insist I haven't got Gold. Searching the store and taking the free option from there may be a workaround
for the original poster too. Also, look on settings and see if your subscription is registered there. I have a feeling the game started to download when that box updated.

 

when i say support im not referring to volunteers on the forums, im referring to actual support. problems dont get solved on here.

 

100's of problems get resolved on here as will this one.
