Games With Gold not showing!

Good evening everybody,

This is my first message in this forum, so I hope I don't break any rule in this post.

As a Gold Xbox 360 user, for the last 2 years I used to have a "Games With Gold" tile/ tab on my main Xbox screen,

since I updated my console about 2-3 months ago that tile/ tab is gone.

I can not find anywhere in the Xbox 360 UI "Games With Gold" - I searched everywhere.

I just can't seem to find "Games With Gold" anywhere!

I know I can download the games from Microsofts website for free, but I'm willing to use the old way of downloading the free games straight from the machine.

This is a true SOS issue. Please Help

Region is Israel and age is not the problem (above 25).

It's currently a known issue that is being worked on.

 

Even if it doesn't show on the main dashboard, it should show when you go to browse games. You can also just search for the game on the console. You don't have to go through the ad to get it for free.

 

Yeah, I know I don't need the ad to get the game for free, but I don't always know what game is being "given away" for free by Microsoft, I don't want to start iterating through the game list twice a month to find the free game.

I didn't just look in the Xbox's dashboard, I also checked the following locations:

Home->Games;

Home->Games->Browse Games;

Home->Apps;

Home->Apps->New Apps;

No mention of "Games with Gold" tile/ ad.

Is there anyway I can get it back?

 

You can try clearing your system's cache, but otherwise I'm not sure.

You can also check majornelson.com He posts what the games are each month.

 

Just tried clearing cache from my hard-drive. No help there.

That's just bizarre because I can download the games for free - I just download Halo: Reach,

but the "Games With Gold" ad is just not there.

I'll keep looking for the answer and if no answer is found - I will contact Microsoft phone lines.

 

Usually the dashboard ads refresh everytime you use it, but it is unusual to not see that ad for several months.

 

Out of curiosity, is the "Games With Gold" ad still visible in your machine? (your UI)

 

Yeah. It's showing on the main page for me.

In some Xbox Live regions (Greece for example) the whole dashboard does not appear! We only see the green tiles and nothing else! They don't care to fix this it's 1 month or so that it's been doing this! And *NO* you can't buy straight from the site because
they are ridiculous enough to ask for a credit card to buy a FREE game, which they don't care to fix too! Seems legit. Lazy enough!

 

Actually, the reason why a credit card is needed is because it needs to verify the user account. And have you guys tried to do these steps?

Settings > System Settings > Storage or Memory > Highlight the storage and on your controller, press the following button sequence:

a.Press Left Bumper

b.Press Right Bumper

c.Press the X button

d.Press Left Bumper

e.Press Right Bumper

f.Press the X button

Make sure that you read and it says to remove the previous update ; if it does, press yes and redownload the update again.
