Games With Gold - Not downloadable because I have achievements on the game ?

I'm using this to report what I believe to be a problem in Xbox Live downloads, as you know each 15 days a new Games with Gold is released and everytime it's a game that I already have achievements on, I cannot get to download it, is it normal ?

If anyone has a solution that would be great because, it ain't the first time it happened to me, I couldn't download Halo 3, and now I can't download Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution but any game that I don't have achievements on is ok to be downloaded.
I tried it on 3 different Xbox 360, I tried it with another connection, nothing could do.

Can´t download mortal kombat game

I am trying to buy the mortal kombat game throught my xbox gold account, when I found the game in the marketplace I couldnt buy it because I didnt see the option "Buy".

Or maybe this game is not downloadable using the xbox gold account.

Any idea ?

Xbox One achievement lists are out

I'm not sure I like the idea of smaller, downloadable games getting 1000. Those games tend to be shorter with a lot less to do. 1000 GS means either having to make achievements worth more points or adding tons of tacked on achievements. Personally I think
500 would have been a good number.

 

If you're having issues downloading it from the console have you tried adding it to your queu from the website?

It has nothing to do with you already having achievements for the game. I've gotten all of the achievements in several of the games, including Halo 3, ACII, and Civilization Revolution and I've downloaded them all just fine.

You might check to make sure that your account is set to the same region as you actually live in as that has been a problem for others during this promotion.

 

I already tried that too, I moved from one country to another and nothing could do, either in one country or another, the process ain't working and it is only with games I have achievements on clearly which is something I can't understand.

I tried downloading Halo 3 back in the country where I first made my account, I couldn't, not changing any setting, coming back to my current country I changed my region and not a single thing changed.

These countries are France and Spain who are actually neighboor and have the same offers as speaking of Games with Gold and I change the settings any time I go over one. As I know, the Xbox accounts are really bad treating multi-national features I still
kept everything on one.

 

no its not about the different countries I don't think you fully understand what the issue is

first your account region must reflect your actual region to download content and for the best experience with xbox live

when we say region it means your country not continent

if you downloaded halo3 previously you cannot overwrite the previous downloaded version nor can you download the new copy

you would need a whole new account for that as the previous versions would be from your previous region region locked content is not transferable between regions

I have previous halo 3 acheivements from the disk copy and I still was able to download the halo3 downlable

not all content is region locked

hence why you wont experience it with all content

major titles like triple a titles will be

 

the reason why miugrating back to your previous region wont work is two fold

first region locks

your account region and actual region must match

so if you purchased it in spain you must physically be in spain

when you migrate a region your previous purchased content would still be from the previous version

 

I physically tried to perform the download in one country or another, while making the purchase with settings matching the region I was in, but it didn't work so I tried to download it physically too in another country changing the settings of region again,
there never ever was any content downloaded as it locks me with an Error message on the purchase screen but even with the correct setting in the country where I created my account, I still got the same Error Message and I always matched my actual region with
my settings. I also tried to do the purchase online but it didn't work either.

 

I'm not understanding you. Are you saying you physically travelled to the country in question to attempt a download or do you mean that you changed the region of your account to attempt the download.

 

I physically traveled back to where I first made my account, yes and I tried to download the game from there too but I still got the same Error.

 

well since migration can take upto 30days to complete its probable your migration didn't complete

or you simply queued the wrong version

remember the migration tool doesn't take region locked content from another region

nor is it meant for temporary visits

I highly suggest you keep two separate accounts if you travel frequently

when you purchase content you are locked to that regions content

unless you make another account

so if you had a spainish account while you tried to buy it in the US or the us account and tried to queue the Spanish content (this again depends when you did the migration and if it completed)

you would still be queuing the Spanish content that you queued under the Spanish marketplace

the migration is for people who move not traveling

 

if you physically move back to the US you actually have to preform the migration again to the US if you performed it to wherever you were

basically if you tried to queue the US content and got the error and then tried again to migrate your account to whever you were and it didn't match

you would hgave to migrate back to the us and queue it once it completes

Can't there be a simple way to perform all this ?

Because, Spain and France ain't exactly what you can call distant countries ...

But well the Xbox Regions system ain't that good, I take it for a fact now ...
