Games with Gold missing - Borderlands 1 & 2

I found a solution:

Searching for these games in the store on my xbox allowed me to reinstall them. I still wish they were visible in my ready to install list. I also found it strange that they did not appear to be owned when i searched the store on a mobile device (yes, i
was signed into my account at the time.)

As Borderlands 1&2 were Xbox 360 games offered via Games with Gold, they usually are yours to keep "forever", regardless of your Gold status.

So if the game doesn't show up under Ready to Install, make sure that you are actually signed in with the account that originally got the games back then as Games with Gold.

If you use(d) multiple accounts, use the account that "bought" the game for free during the Games with Gold offer during March 2016 for Borderlands, and March 2017 for Borderlands 2.

Yes. I still have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription. The contact customer support link leads me back here to post in the forum or wait two hours for a phone call.
