Games with Gold, Lost Games and Ability To Download.

I have issues with Games With Gold.

One game I downloaded from GWG, Assassins Creed Syndicate (and have played extensively for a period of some time) stopped working after the latest system update.

After trying to start the game it prompts me to insert a disc or buy it from the online store. I deleted it and was going to reinstall but I can’t.

Another GWG download, AC Black Flag is installed and working but it doesn’t appear in the “Gold” tab.

There are at least another 3 games I have previously downloaded with GWG that are not available to download any more, Murder Soul Suspect, Forza Horizon 2 and Goat Simulator.

Another game, Project Cars, is still available as a download but it doesn’t appear in the “Gold” tab either.

I have tried removing all accounts (including mine and guests) from the Xbox and I carried out a system reset (leaving data) but it didn’t help.

Please can you help by restoring my access to the missing GWG games namely, AC Syndicate, Forza 2 Horizon and Murder, Soul Suspect ?

lol, I was just about to suggest that. I figured it was related to the service alert that is going on right now and their suggesting people redownload their profiles or reboot their system.

Hey. I seem to have lost the ability to compare games with anyone on my friends list or players i meet. I can only see the current game they are playing but no score on any games. This isn't that everyone I know has decided to go private in the last day.

Anyone else have this issue?

 

Hi

If any of the other profiles on your console had it set as there home console this may have been why you had access to play these games.

Also can you please go into settings on your console then select Account / Subscriptions and confirm that your gold membership is still showing as subscribed on your console.

Doesn’t your purchase history only show the games you’ve bought or input a code for, not the free GWG ?

Short answer, no bud. Even if the game is GWG it does come up in the order history as a transaction for 0.00 since technically the license is bought for 0.00. Check it out and let us know if we can further assist with this or any other issue or inquiry!

 

The only two people that have logged into my Xbox apart from myself are my two nephews when they’ve been visiting from Kent (I live in Scotland) and they had no reason to set my Xbox up as their home console because I’ve always had Gold.

Anyway, wouldn’t they have to have been the ones signed in to the console at the time and to have downloaded the GWG games to the console for that to be the problem ?

I definitely was signed in as myself when I downloaded the free GWG AC Syndicate because I purchased the season pass which was on offer.

My Gold account is showing as current, it has never lapsed and I am seeing some available previously downloaded GWG available to download but not all.

There’s also the question as to why a GWG title is showing in my games list installed and working but not listed in the “Gold” tab and another available for download but not showing in the “Gold” tab either.

We recommend just
uninstall and reinstall the profile. When you uninstall the profile hold the power button on the console until it shuts off. Wait 10 seconds then turn on. Once it boots back to home screen, then reinstall the profile.

I’ve reviewed my purchase history and none of the free GWG titles appear there, even the ones I still have access to.

 

Well, if what you say is correct then something very strange is going on because the only transactions showing in my purchase history as £0.00 are where I’ve used a redeem code (either included in physical games as add-ons or titles purchased from CDkeys.com)
and there are absolutely no GWG titles recorded in my purchase history even the ones I can still download.

At this point we would suggest
Requesting a Callback from one of our Xbox Billing Specialists so we can clear this up since it looks like it might be coming from a licensing issue and we can do a deeper investigation on it. Give it a shot and let us know how it goes!

 

I’m pretty sure I did follow the correct procedure when I deleted all the profiles, I had the Microsoft website ‘how to’ page on my tablet when I tried that already. Also, wouldn’t the console reset do that anyway ? I’m loathed to try that all again because
I have NFL GamePass on the Xbox and I don’t want to screw that up with too many device logins.

 

I’ve followed your link and clicked on billing but there’s no option to request a call back from the billing specialist, these are the options...

When you go to
Contact Us to get it to request a callback follow these steps:

• Step 1 ----select Xbox One
• Step 2 ----select no thanks
• Step 3-----select games
• Step 4 ----select request a call from support

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you.
