ive been trying to download the latest games for gold but keep getting an application error, this is happening through all my devices, computer phone and xbox

Issuses with free game with gold

So im having an issue with downloading Rainbow Six vegas for free since its the free game, whenever i download it it tells me " Were sorry something went wrong it either isnt avalible in my region or the file is corrupted or we dont recognize the format"
then pop up with the error code 80150017 i searched the code and it said a media related issue for the media player? Now i live in Canada on the East Coast so if this game isnt avalible for my region whats the compensation game? or is there a way to fix this

If your account is set for a different region then where you live and you can't change it due to security settings, give support a call and they can change it for you.

have you attempted to log out and log back in. Your also getting these same error with your xbox as well? I would assume it has something to do with your xbox gamertag. Contact support at Contact Us | Xbox Support

I've seen this issue a number of times with players in Australia. This solution has worked for those who had the unavailable message on their consoles:

You may see it come up as purchasable only; you'll need to sign in and then refresh the page, it will then be free and you'll see the "get" button instead!
