Games with gold issue for November games?

I noticed that the games with gold website sais we get 2 games this month for xbox one. I was really happy about that until I checked the store. At least Australian MS store does not offer those ones for free yet. Also when I check the live gold deals on
my xbox itself, it still lists free game chariot and price reduction for titanfall but not the 2 new games advertised at the games with gold webpage on xbox.com

I try that on xbox (console) in games with gold and also on the internet browser in section games with gold. I was connected to my account but in both cases when I clicked on game ( battlefield 1 or Assassins Creed) and wanted to obtain that they wanted
for me full prize...I have 2 years gold access and this problem I have first time

 

Recently they've only been replacing one game at a time for the Xbox One. Most likely due to the fact that it's a newer console and doesn't yet have a huge library. This month's game is Volgarr the Viking and can be downloaded from the following link:

Actually in Australia, where the OP said he was from, the game for the month is the full version of Powerstar Golf or whatever it is called. Volgarr the Viking is not even available in the Australian store, even if I wanted to purchase it.

I am also in Australia and right now it is Sunday the 2nd of November and the game has not shown up to be downloaded on the console. Going to the games with gold section on the website has it listed but if you click on "Download from Xbox Store" it tries
to charge me $26.95 for it.

For the last few months now, the 360 has gotten more games per month, arguably better games and quite simply more value out of the games with gold program.

This is on top of the fact that we were promised that we would be getting 2 games a month on Xbox One. Just adding one game and then keeping last months game for a second month does not equal two games a month. Before anybody says "You're complaining about
something you get for free loser" or something like that, remember that these games are not free, and we do not get to keep them forever if we stop paying. They are part of a service that we pay for, and as such, they are supposed to deliver on that service
in full. If it was advertised that paying for Xbox Live Gold includes two games a month, then that's what we should be getting. In any other industry, this would be considered false advertising, which is actually illegal in most countries.

I know that came across as kinda rude and ungrateful, but it had to be said.

 

I tend to agree with you. One of the 'selling points' for Xbox Live Gold is that we are supposed to get those free games. Although perhaps not a very good example, suppose you had to pay $50 to see a movie in a theater but the theater said you get to see
two movies for that price but, in fact, you got one movie and a newsreel, would you be happy paying that $50 when, in principle, if only one movie was shown then the theater could have charged $25.

And whilst I am not someone to easily complain about the quality or type of game that is free with Games With Gold, I find it hard to swallow that most of the world gets a totally new game and here in Australia we get an old game - and, I might add, they
tried to charge me nearly $27 for that 'free' game. I have no idea whether Powerstar Golf Full Game will eventually be free for us, but I wonder why they advertise it as free for November when, if fact, it is not yet free even though it's already November

Exactly. In a few hours it'll be November 3rd and our game for the month still hasn't become available. I've tried tweeting support to ask when it will be available but haven't heard back yet. Maybe it's because they realized that a full game unlock for
an almost 12 month old free to play game that nobody wants to play is not going to go over very well compared to what the US and UK are getting, and they're scrambling to change it.

 

I'm from Brazil and Powerstar Golf is still not available here.

And thats not the only problem, when I try to see the new games on xbox live store I only get an error message.

 

Well I finally gave in and contacted MS support. They tried a few things cancelled and restarted my Live Gold membership but nothing helped, so they got me to purchase the Powerstar Golf Full Game Unlock from the MS store and just refunded the purchase.
So I ended up getting the Golf game after all
