Games with Gold - installed game with Xbox 360 only on Xbox One.

I wanted to install the game from Games with Gold. This game is Assasin's Creed on Xbox 360.

I did not have an Xbox 360 and account for this console before. Can I now download this game for free only on Xbox One, without downloading it to the Xbox 360 console?

Can I have an Xbox 360 console if I can take advantage of this offer?

If I want to download this game on the xbox.com website, I get the message "You have no valid payment options on file." Then they ask me for "Change Payment Options" but there are options only for Great Britain, and I live somewhere else.

Can you, however, get access to this game exclusively on the Xbox one?

It has always been like that not unless there will be an update regarding in redeeming Xbox 360 games with gold on the website. Xbox 360 marketplace has a different structure than on Xbox One Store. Xbox 360 games with gold on the website will need a payment
method. In Xbox 360 console, you won't need one. Currently, you can't redeem Xbox 360 games with gold using Xbox One console and still under progress about redeeming Xbox 360 games with gold on Xbox One console. Either get the games using an Xbox 360 console,
or get the games on the website with a payment method.

Yes, you can claim the xbox 360 game from games with gold but you will need a payment method on file but it will not charge you. This is so, because of how the xbox 360 marketplace worked and works still.

As for your region problem, please make sure this page has you set to your correct region:

https://live.xbox.com/accountmigration And please read the warnings before you change regions for your Microsoft/xbox360 account. The xbox one region is different than this.

Any game with gold 360 title will be available on either system. As for the payment option I see you have found the answer.

 

I have one more problem.

I installed the game - Assasins's Creed from Xbox 360 - on Xbox One S. However, when I want to start the game, an error message appears on the screen - error code 0x803F8001.

The game does not start, but it is installed. I do not know what to do to run it.

 

i would suggest as first trouble shooting to uninstall the game and clear your consoles cache. One this is done redownload the game if the issue is still occurring please contact customer support and give them the error code so they can see if it on the
xbox side. I had the same issue with Assassins creed and it worked for me. I hope this helps nothing is more frustrating than wanting to play a game and not have it load.

 

You need to have a payment option but the game will be free and yes you can play that game on xbox one it is compatible...
