Games With Gold GRID 2 is in French?

I just downloaded GRID 2 from the store through Games With Gold, when i launched the game i noticed it was in a strange language of which i am not familiar with, later realising it was in French, I checked my system settings but they are both set to english
(language and locale), i tried navigating through the game in search of language options but with no success, i then checked the store and it says there is an english version available, why did it download in French? Can't i change it or redownload it in a
different language?

I originally wanted to get a "Games with Gold": GRID 2--a XBOX 360 game.

But I erroneously bought "Bathurst Track Pac"--a DLC of GRID 2.

What a pity that I can not ask for a refund.

That's a strange one. You could try deleting it and redownloading it and see if that helps. I'm just in the process of downloading it now and I'll come back when it's finished.

 

I already tried it, and didn't work, it's still in french, i tried downloading the demo and getting the game from there but it didn't work either, so far i'm just using the translator on some stuff as i play along, oh and even the audio is in french, i have
no idea how this happened, there was a similar case a while ago with Red Faction: Guerrilla and that one was in spanish, i have never treid since then, i really like to have my games in english or be able to change it's current language setting, most games
on PC or even some arcade games on the xbox have that setting, which i think is a crucial thing to have. I can't imagine how peole sort this problem when they buy a game from the store and it comes out in a completely different language, Microsoft should at
least report this to the developers or even give their money back and void the purchase.

Yeah, but the language that is download is usually what the publisher's send out for specific regions. The language settings on the console only affect the language you see on the dashboard, not the language in games. That would be why you download games
with different languages sometimes.

 

Oh man that sucks, the thing is that the same developers that made GRID 2 also made Dirt 3 and Dirt Showdown and both of them are in english, which i think is weird enough already

 

I'm kind of surprised you got French.

 

That happens sometimes with 360 games when a language of a certain region is not available the game reverts to the language closer to that region

Nope thats the [Mod Removed - Please do not attempt to bypass the word filter.] policy of MS. Is it so difficult to put a option button to choose in which language you want to download a game? In Belgium same, majority speeks dutch and understand
english better than French, but stil MS give games in FRENCH. Somebody should sue MS for this, beceause players get games in French while they prefer english, and wen they want it in english, they have to buy the game a second time in a store. This is a criminal
practice by MS. My next game console would not be a xbox one, but a PS4. I have enough from MS and is fraudulent practice. It even wont work when i put my region in US or UK, still get games in French. So by by MS and its fraudulent practice.
