Games With Gold for Xbox One not available from Xbox 360

Since this year started, I haven't been able to download the games offered for Xbox One. When I try it from my Xbox 360 it's as if the option wasn't even there. I press "A" for download and nothing happens, no error message, no pop-up menu, no other kind of
different interface; just the sound effect usually associated with "accept".

Then I tried to download the games from my computer, but I just get a message telling me that I don't have a device where I can install the game.

I was planning on getting an Xbox One X, but I've been missing many great games from the "Games With Gold" offers and it has been bothering me so much that now I'm now just considering getting a Nintendo Switch instead.

I've seen there are many other users with the same problem and I still haven't come across a single answer. I tried to get in contact with another human being to assist me with this problem and all I got were links
circling back to each other, FAQS, Tips, anything but actual help. So now I'm here wasting a few more minutes with the hope that someone would actually give us (me and the other users facing this problem) a real answer.
