Games With Gold for 360 on XBox One

Up until about three weeks ago, I was able to goto the xbox website and click download on games with gold for 360 games even though I have an Xbox One. You could also do the same thing if you had a 360 for the free monthly Xbox One titles.

After around 9/15, now if I try to download the free 360 titles the website gives me an error message:

Is this your first purchase? To ensure it is compatible, please sign in to Xbox Live using your console and try again.

and it doesnt allow me to do the download.

Did Xbox stop allowing us to download the 360 GWG if we have Xbox One?

I was just wondering because after BC goes live I thought all the GWG titles would be BC games so we would be able to download them as well.

Cannot purchase "free" 360 games on Xbox one or Xbox.com

It has always been like that not unless there will be an update regarding in redeeming Xbox 360 games with gold on the website. Xbox 360 marketplace has a different structure than on Xbox One Store. Xbox 360 games with gold on the website will need a payment
method. In Xbox 360 console, you won't need one. Currently, you can't redeem Xbox 360 games with gold using Xbox One console and still under progress about redeeming Xbox 360 games with gold on Xbox One console. Either get the games using an Xbox 360 console,
or get the games on the website with a payment method.

 

Where are the promised June Xbox One Games With Gold?

Hopefully I'm just doing something wrong, but I can't seem to find Xbox One Games with Gold.

I already own an Xbox 360, but recently bought an Xbox One with Xbox Live Gold which has been applied to my account.

However whenever I go to the "Games With Gold" page on the xbox.com site, I'm only presented with an Xbox 360 free game, not the Xbox One game I was expecting.

I've not previously downloaded any Games With Gold games for the Xbox 360. Do I somehow have to tell Microsoft that I now own an Xbox One as well as my Xbox 360, even though I'm using my Gold account on the Xbox One?

It's an issue with some region locked games. Crysis 3 is region locked so it has to check your region on the console.

 

As mentioned above it checks the region and compatiblitiy of the console certain region locked games do that like darksiders gta gears and all crysis games thenonly solution is to queue it using a friends 360 or rent a console at your friendly neighborhood
blockbuster or video rental shop

 

Its not something ms can control as the developers set controls usually to avoid legal issues where the game is banned in ceetain regions like germany

 

It mihht change once the bc is offically released

But noone knows really

 

They havent changes the checks since bc had been in preview so like gears jusgement or even gears 3 even more recently darksiders

 

Mind you that was in july when e3 happened

 

It only prevent syou from queuing the game without a previpusly registeree 360

I havent really queued any 360 games from my one but i do have a 360 so moot point

 

All the gwg would be under the bc but if you queued them

This is for players with 360 and one

Later when the bc comes out the same titles they queued would be available

I dont remember them saying you could queue them yet

As the preview team already mentioned region locks still apply along with marketplace restrictions

 

You can queue non region locked content asong as you have a payment option

But ones with the console region locks support slhas said you need an actual console for those to check compatibility as i recall one support person saying once
