Games with Gold error

Hi All,

First of all, sorry if this isn't in the right place :/

I was recently given a 3 month xbox live gold membership as a present. I put in the code last month and everything was fine up until a couple of days ago when I decided to check out his months free games with gold. As soon as I hit the A button on the box to
show me what the game was, I received a flash screen saying I had to join Xbox Live Gold!! My subscription doesn't run out until November so am a bit puzzled as to why this is happening.

I left it a couple of days, thinking it may be a glitch but it's still happening and now I'm getting annoyed. What is the point in paying for any type of subscription if you don't provide a decent service? The other issue that makes this worse is how many times
Xbox live is unavailable and no, before anyone says it, it's not my internet, wifi (because I've also tried hard wiring the xbox to the internet) or communication between my modem and my xbox...whenever I test the connection the problem always lies between
the internet and xbox service. So basically...both of these issues are your problem Microsoft - get it sorted (and fast) otherwise I will be forced to leave.

if your account region doesn't match your ACTUAL region then you must make it so

in order to download most triple A games your account region has to match your actual region

I have an active xbox live gold subscription but I see a warning message when I try to start a game that I downloaded with "game with gold" in the section. "ready to download" or similar. Error code 0x8037ef or 0x803f800b

 

You can try starting the download for the game from the website here. Just do a search for it under the Games tab.

As for the connection issues. Check the link below and then post your response in Section 2 of the Support Forums.

As said in my original post, I wasn't trying to download one of the games for gold games...I was merely trying to access the section to see IF I wanted to download one of them so unfortunately that solution does not work - instead Microsoft needs to address
the problem rather than try and get gamers to work round the issue and put a bandaid on it.

Secondly, thanks for the link but I've done all those previously many, many times...again - doesn't sort the problem, we're just supposed to deal with the bugs and find new and inventive ways to navigate round them...no good.
