Games with Gold downloading 360 games on Xbox One

Hi. Have not managed to download any 360 games included with games with gold. When viewed in the store on Xbox one, the box next to the game says "get the Price"- click on it, it asks me to sign in again, then has a greyed out screen which never changes...
I read other questions that advised to ensure you have a credit card attached to the account. I do, but it does not give me any options after clicking on "get the price" - anyone had similar issues or ideas about how to resolve? Cheers

If you do have a child account the your only option is to use your parental account with gold to buy the game

As ngocphi said previously, if you are on a child account that does restrict you from purchasing Xbox 360 games on an Xbox One console even if they are free Games with Gold titles. You would need to make the purchase on an Xbox 360 console and then install
the game from the
Ready to Install section on the Xbox One.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console.

Yes but first you need to go to
www.xbox.com/.../games-with-gold and select “Download From Xbox Store” and then “Download To Xbox 360”. This will register the game to your account which will then show up on the ready to install list one your Xbox One.

I'd be happy to provide some input.

So to understand what it is that is trying to be done is that you are trying to download the two free games with gold for Xbox One on an Xbox 360?

I believe the error may be related to the difference in the store and marketplace for Xbox One games and Xbox 360 games. It may be that you will need an Xbox One to download those free games to your account as you can download the 360 game with gold but
not the Xbox One games. Also the 360 is not capable of downloading games for the Xbox One so that's another reason why it's giving you the error because the game needs to download to be applied to the account. That may just be how it is set up by design.

The current game for gold is F1 2013 on the 360, poolnation and castle storm for the one.

On your dashboard you will see an ad for deals with gold, click this and you will find the games there ready to download for free.

You can download the xbox one games from your 360 or this site while waiting for your console to arrive.

If you do get an Xbox Live Gold membership for your Xbox 360 don't forget each month to redeem the Games WIth Gold games for both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, this way if you do purchase an Xbox One at a later stage as long as you still have an active Gold
subscription the Xbox One games will be available for you to download and play in addition to the Xbox 360 games.
