Games with gold download issue

I've never had any problems downloading stuff over xbox live, but I've tried to download Dishonored several times now and it just won't download. I leave it to download overnight while I'm sleeping and in the morning the it's no longer in my download queue
but it's also nowhere to be found on my hard drive. When I go to the store again it has the option to download again when, if it's already on the hard drive, it should give me the option to "Play Now."

Everything else downloads just fine but Dishonored jut won't. It's currently been sitting on 0% complete for around 30 minutes now, so I assume that the download is going to fail again, but I'm not willing to sit here for god knows how long to see if some
kind of error message pops up. If it fails again, I'm done with it.

My account is spain and I am in spain, yes. The only thing different is my billing info is gibraltar but that is where my credit card is registered. It has worked fine like this before for multiple downloads.

Is there any direct contact info for microsoft?

I thought about doing that, but if it fixes nothing, then I'm stuck downloading (sometimes huge) updates every time I simply just want to play a game and I'll have nothing to show for it.

I followed similar advice for an error a lot of people are getting with the walking dead season 2 getting stuck on a black screen and freezing the console. I deleted the game and tried to download it again. I'll give you three guesses as to how that turned
out for me.

Literally nothing on my network or my console has changed to have caused this either.

 

Game updates literally take seconds to download, even on the slowest broadband speeds.

If its taking you a long time to get those downloaded, you clearly have an issue with your connection.

 

why do you assume it's a connection error??? The game is already downloaded.......

Maybe the file is corrupted or the HDD is full........ Indeed some of the Gold member free to play games can take many HOURS to download updates for...
