Games with Gold constantly gives me FRENCH games. Why?!

We moved to Belgium half year ago, and since then, everytime I download a Game with Gold, I keep getting the game in FRENCH. I DON'T UNDERSTAND FRENCH, AND I DO NOT WANT THE GAME IN FRENCH!!! Belgium is divided into two language regions; Dutch (North of
Belgium, where I live --> Flanders) and French (South of Belgium). So yeah, I just want to play the game in ENGLISH. NOT FRENCH. When I was still living in The Netherlands, I never had this problem. Yeah okay, only the Assassin's Creed series were Dutch when
I played them, but I'm okay with that. It's just VERY ANNOYING that my Xbox 360 doesn't understand that coming from Belgium doesn't mean that you automatically speak French.

So getting to the point... I live in Belgium, and I want to download games in English, not French. But I cannot select a language of the game when I download it, so how do I change that? I'm very agitated, and very *** of.
I did not pay for a subscription to play games in a different language. Do I have to change my region to a different country, like The Netherlands? But if I do that, I won't be able to download most games, and the money on my Microsoft Account
will disappear. And if I do that, will I still be able to play games like Destiny, which uses servers? I'm just sick and tired of this all. Everyone is having fun with these free games, and I'm not, which isn't fair, don't you think?

So far I've had this problem with three games:

- Hitman: Absolution (I was able to fix this issue on this game, because this game offered an English language pack, which I had to download)

- Halo: Reach

- Red Faction: Guerrilla

Microsoft, please fix this.

I've always been a loyal customer to Microsoft for years, so this isn't fair. If stuff like this happens to me again, I'll probably go for the new Playstation 4. And yes, my console language is English, if that matters.

Take free game all store ?

Hello, i have a question for the game with gold and free game avaible on the other country store.

I'm french and i see and the Japan store one game with gold who not available one the French store. The Japan game with gold is : lococycle

There are a other game : Onigiri, he is free on the Japan store.

My question is, it's possible to take games on a other country store with no problem with Microsoft if i'm French (or other country) ? Free game and game with gold just avaible on the other country store and not avaible on my store.

If you change to a different region it won't matter since both all 3 titles are region locked anyways

The only languages supported in your region is dutch. And French not English as those are the national languages

Also it is up to the publishers to decide on the languages per region

Usually decided by the one off the national ones

There is no way to get English with reach except for physical for physical disks being imported

 

Yeah, I understand that, but why don't they give you an OPTION to chose your language? They say "This game supports French and English". Well clearly it doesn't! What if I purchased a game through the Marketplace with money, and they give me the game in
Chinese (just as an example), when it's also available in English. Wouldn't that be unfair? What right do they have to chose the language for that game, that you BOUGHT with your OWN money? It's like going to a store and say "I want a black Xbox One", and
then the seller says "No, I'll only give you a white Xbox One" (when there's clearly a black Xbox One available). They don't have the right to tell you that... Eventhough that's just about color.

I do not blame you, but these things need to be changed, as I know many people have the same issue.

 

BecuSe you can't bypass your local laws

What is avaiable in your region is available not UK or us content

But French content or in some cases dutch

The marketplaces are ruled by your international laws along with what the publishers offer in your specific marketplace

what is allowed in france may not be allowed in uk as content laws are different for every region

 

Rarely are games multiple languages in game

There are international laws and licensing agreements that have to be followrd

Englishnsongs cannbe limited to 5 regions while other regions get dutch translated ones elsewhere

Not everything is about english

 

Fyi eu/asian content laws and other regions are very strict on violence

 

But if I change my location to The Netherlands, will I be able to download? Or will I get a region error, like many people are experiencing?

So basicly, if there's a French version of the game, I will always get that one, instead of the original English version? That's stupid.

No the only one available is in the nationally supported language

The marketplaces aren't linked together and what is allowed in Germany or UK wouldn't be allowed in Belgium itsl not rocket science ask a police officer to change a street sign for you see what he will say he says get used to it
