Games with Gold charging full price

I’ve noticed that the last 2 months that the Xbox one games for gold show and charge full price and not the reduce or free price. Xbox 360 games are showing as free and I don’t get charged.

It’s strange as my Xbox gold subscription is valid and hasn’t lapsed.

Anyone able to help.

Are you still seeing this advertisement on your home screen or has it vanished? Generally when the correct pricing doesn't show it's because the offer is no longer available. Be sure to refresh your home screen. Keep us in the loop

Sorry to hear about the issue that you're having with Games with Gold and redeeming the free titles.

Can you confirm you have a valid payment method associated with your account?

It may be that is attempting you to update your billing method, before it will allow you to install the free Xbox One titles.

I’ve got my Paypal account linked which is valid. I had an issue a week ago where I picked a GoG title and got charged for it and needed a refund.

I migrated my account from US to BR (Brazil) and since then I am being charged for X360 titles. My subscription is still valid and the weird thing is I can download XOne games with no charge, but X360 games aren't free.

When you migrated did you just change your location through the One or did you go to http://live.account.com/accountmigration ?

 

two things first xbox 360 games with gold require a payment option regardless if it's free or not you must have q xbox 360 in order not to use a credit card on file

You must have a valid payment option for brazil not the us

If you have your xbox account set to the Brazil but your xbox one set as the US it won't work

All your settings must be the same

 

I did the migration process through the website. I had to do this to be able to renew my membership with a Brazilian Gold prepaid code.

 

Thanks, I'll try it. My Xbox is set to US because I prefer games on their original settings, but even on the website I can't get the Xbox 360 game without charge.

Games with gold for 360 MUST HAVE a payment option on file regardless if it's on the website or the xbox one

The only way to not have an paynent option is to use an xbox 360 not an xbox One

Also home gold does not apply to games with gold xbox 360 it is only xbox one feature you must be the primary profile with actual gold

Also should be noted your account region MUST match your actual region for 360 games

Region independence is only an xbox ONE feature so on the xbox one you MUST have for example Brazil account region plus BrazilIan language plus Brazilian payment methos

Brazil account region or us region plus us English plus Brazilian payment method but us PayPal = fail

All must match to get any xbox 360 games

I'm not sure I understand what could be the issue then.

1. It's actually trying to charge for the game. I payed for a game again (for Lego Indiana Jones) and support refunded the money.

2. I do have a valid payment option, the game was charged on my credit card, which is from Brazil and is working fine. It shows up on my account information all good.

3. I'm not sure I understand the home gold thing you mentioned. But, the thing is, my account is currently Gold and in the website it shows that it's still valid until April, 2019. Before migrating and with a valid gold account since then, things worked
normally. I could get both One and 360 games.

4. I tried getting everything on a BR setting (language, region, etc), no good.

5. The weird thing is this, I can get One games, which I just did for July's game, but can't get 360 games; at the final check window, it show a price instead of free.

6. Another weird thing is Xbox is constantly showing me ads to go Gold, which didn't happen before migration. It did happen on my wife's account, since she's not Gold, but never on mine. Now, on the console and at the website, I get ads to go Gold. And,
again, I can play online without any problems.

So, my hypothesis is some kind of glitch happened when I migrated and, even though my account is Gold, part of Microsoft's system doesn't see me as such.

Any suggestions on who to reach for. I tried Xbox support, but apparently they can't figure out what's wrong. A lady even had me test a few things on the console, she fixed some incorrect addresses and information on my profile, but still, no fix for it.
I tried tweeting support, which was very responsive in the past, but they just won't respond. Any suggestions?
