Games with Gold can not be downloaded

Hello I need help!

This seems to be a very ugly issue: I have a XBox live Gold membership and I try to download the current free game to my xbox.

After confirming all the requests i get a turning green symbol which turns forever. The game is not downloaded.

This is the second time, so I already missed the last game. I do not want to pay for a more or less useless Gold membership. Please help me.

I tried with different Web-Browsers on different platforms (iOS, macOS, Windows10).

could you try a power cycle - power cycle HowTo its possible that this is all it needs. although they are free games make sure all your
details are up to date as sometimes this can have effect.

Do you get the same error when attempting to claim the game on an Xbox console? If so, which game are you claiming, and on which console are you making the attempt (Xbox 360 or Xbox One)?

Trial codes don't change your account status to gold. You can download the Xbox One Games with Gold with a trial because a gold subscription is required to keep playing it for free, but a full gold subscription is required in order to download 360 Games
with Gold games.
