Games with bad language

I understand that games come with age ratings on them but are there any games where the bad language can be switched off? My son is 8 and loves gaming but a lot of the games are for 18 and older and have bad language I just think there should be an option
to do this as there does not seem to be too many games for younger kids and its a shame.

Agree with this but people being abusive on say a 3+ game FIFA for instance is well out out of order , just a bunch of muppets who are like it on any game they play on. Three words " Block communications , report. "

Read what he posted. His complaint is about a message received, not language in the game. He just needs to learn how to block communications.

[/quote]I am not condoning the message being sent, but it was sent as a result of an M Rated game. When you go see an R Rated movie, and someone in the audience cusses, do you go and report them? I think the problem here is coming to the boards to complain
about something that is for better or worse part of the community and asking for CENSORSHIP. I take great offense to this.

 

No there is not and there is a reason for that, because kids that are under 18 are not supposed too play rated M games.

 

I would love an option to turn off the swearing. There are many games that I'd love to play, but simply don't because they're rated M. In fact, I'm sad to see that many T rated games have a ton of swearing as well. Just because I don't like it in games,
I understand I don't have to play them. But that would be a huge incentive to purchase a game that you could turn that off. Remember Mortal Kombat where you could turn off the blood... why not be able to turn off the swearing - or bleep it out. Would be
a great feature!

 

Or send your kid out into the yard with a ball or play catch with him, enroll him in a club eg soccer, football.

When he reaches a suitable age then he can play on the console.

 

in my experience in gaming you cant change language in rated m game and rated t games try to find games more suitable like forza racing series is great I also recommend lego star wars games minecraft games you can take your xbox one off line or
xbox360 too . xbox 360 is the most off line friendly console because it doesn t require Microsoft account .or internet.

 

There are too many parents who continue to purchase age restricted games for younger children. The age restriction is there for a reason.

Would you buy your 8 year old son an 18 rated adult film? No! So why buy him an 18 rated game in the first place?

 

I bet over half the parents just buy the game with no idea or concern of the game contents.

 

I'm grown and I don't like strong language in my games. It's not a matter of sending the kids out if you want to play, it's that some people just don't want to hear a bunch of swearing. I think it'd be great to have an option to filter out profanity on games.
I'd buy a lot more of the Mature ones if I had that option.
