    I updated my console Thursday night(26 Nov 15). It worked for the rest of the evening. The next morning, it would not load games, took two minutes to sign in, did not recognize members with Kinect and the video from Kinect is slow. If this was a gag from
    the support staff at Microsoft, good one! I thoroughly enjoy not being able to play Minecraft with my kids all weekend, thanks!

    THE AGONY AUNT IS HERE UNLOAD ON ME!

    Just been reading the xbox forums, loads of people are having problems with faulty consoles. disc drives not working, games not loading, Kinect sensor stealing their cars and doing coke on the dining table etc..................

    xbox running slow

    My xbox is running slow and won't load some games and other games is very slow to load. it is very slow during start up. is there anyway to fix this problem?

    I have done all the suggested "tricks" to get my xbox to reset, none of them have worked. The update seems to have been the mistake, and for some reason, it needs these updates. I guess having a Gold membership for live is not paying off anymore.

    New update breaks... everything

    My Xbox is doing the same thing. It is slow to load the home screen, slow to load apps, slow to load games. Even when I turn it on now it is super slow to come on. This new update looks great, but something has got to be fixed. My xbox has never been this
    slow to respond.

    Why does astroneer take loads of time to load?

    Astroner took awhile for me to load the first time I played it. The game would go to a black screen and sit. Reinstalling fixed the problem. I remember the game was slow loading but twenty minutes is too long. Subnautica is the longest loading game
    I have ever played and it takes about three minutes to load. Have you hard resetted your console to see if that will help as well?

    Expansion cards are available for external storage that will work with Series S/X games. Regular external drives would be too slow so in order for them to fix it, you'd be looking at longer load times and downgraded performance.

    Kinect bricked after update

    Yes, others have had other issues with the Kinect.

    There is a trick to try to get the Kinect working, and sometimes it works if there is no power to it (which is OS controlled).

    Go to the Kinect settings and make sure the Kinect settings are off. Turn off the console by pushing the power button on the console (as with a hard reset). Unplug the Kinect. Power on the console normally. Once it is on, go to settings to make sure the
    settings are still off. Power down the console normally and plug in the Kinect, Power on the console and put in a game that requires the Kinect. Once it loads it should ask you to configure the Kinect. If it can't, your OS is corrupted and the xbox console
    plus Kinect has to be completely reset by wiping out the entire OS and starting fresh.

    Usually what happens is the Kinect drivers are incompatible with the new software and force updating the Kinect has to be done. There are videos how to do this on YouTube, but often the OS in the console gets corrupted and won't allow the Kinect drivers
    to load up and power up the sensor.
