Games using Xbox One Avatars

First, why isn't this a thing? I hate all these games that make me create a new avatar that I don't even like when I already have one as part of my profile! Seriously, that would be awesome! I point out how awesome Miis were (and still can be, despite the
usage having admittedly dropped to almost only Smash Bros.) and with how much cooler XOne Avatars are they would go great in numerous games!

I get that many answers boil down to "no one thinks it's worth it in the first place" and "see how not-well the X360 Avatar games did?" (I, for one, love Crash Course!) and such. It's definitely a market Xbox game devs seem scared of while predicting it'd
go poorly so not worth even trying. (despite how well it very much COULD go!)

Second, what would I have to do to make such a game? Not that I have any experience, but honestly it's the kind of project I could want to achieve, a series of multiplayer/solo games using one's own Avatar. So you could take them into games similar to D&D/Diablo,
MarioKart, Fortnite, etc. A truly Xbox/Windows-based franchise in addition to Halo!

Yeah, I am the same. I used to love those games that uses those Xbox avatars. Maybe new generation avatars may see that and we may one day see a repeat of the old times for games with avatars.

Yeah I agree, we made it for a reason. It should be used. Would be good to see it integrated

Avatars were better implemented on the 360. You always could see your avatar on the dashboard at sign on and see list of your friend's avatars as well. They have them on Xbox One, but it's all buried and it feels like no one ever uses them for anything.

And that right there is the problem.

Microsoft got a great many things right on the Xbox 360, including the integration of our Avatars into 3D, interactive Premium Console Themes tied into the games we loved. And there were a LOT of games in the Xbox Indy Games selection that used your avatars.
We had Avatar Rewards from playing the games we enjoyed, and a great many games released free or low-cost Avatar cosmetic items. It was fun, and a great time to be an Xbox user.

But with Xbox One, they took several steps backwards from the innovations they introduced with the 360. No more Themes, Avatars hidden away like an afterthought, they shutdown the whole Xbox Indy Games program and deleted thousands of unique, charming games
off of the internet in the process. :-(

As for the New Xbox One Avatars, MS and the 3rd party developers that were supporting them seem to have stopped. They haven't even released any new Avatar Items in 2020 at all!:-(

They FINALLY gave me the ability to give my Avatar BLUE skin after 10 years of waiting, and it doesn't even matter now. RIP, XBox Avatars. You'll be missed. :'(

I always thought the games that did this were pretty cool. I really liked Kingdom of Keflings for it. Wish more games did it, like you say.
