Games uninstalled Overnight?!!

Turned on my Xbox One S on this afternoon and more than half of my 150-ish games were uninstalled. I have two external hard drives 2 tb each and they were about full with several gigs left on each. I had both hard copy and digital downloaded games. That
doesnt seem to make a difference in terms of what was uninstalled or remained. In fact, one hard copy game - far cry 5 - which I had made substantal progress on doesnt seem to appear in either ready to install or installed section as if that one just disappeared.
I have so many games there might be more i just havent noticed yet.

Last night my xbox went black and kind of just died off. I just turned it off and went to bed. Didnt think anything of it since every once in a while these machines kind of glitch.

As is now, it says 65 installed. 83 games ready to install for 148 total but thought I had more. And like i said i know for fact not even seeing at least one game, FC5, anywhere

Please Help!

Uninstalling games

I'd highly suggest that you do a hard boot by pressing the power button for 8-10 sec > unplug the console from the power outlet for 3-5mins > turn console back on.

 

Uninstalling games

I tried to uninstall a couple of games and they dont go away from my storage. I can still see the game but it won't let me play it.

 

Hi! Performing a hard reset/power cycle usually helps in this case so that your games should show up afterwards again: Restart or Power Cycle Xbox One Console

Thanks for reaching out to us. I'm sorry to hear that this has happened to you. Based on the information you've provided, if the games that were on the external HDs have disappeared, then the first thing I would have to ask is if the console is still recognizing
those drives. You can test to see if the drives are recognizable by connecting them to a PC. If you'd like to reinstall those games that are not appearing in Ready to Install, then you simply need to go to the Microsoft store, look up the title and
select to install the game from there.

I would also ask if you received any error messages or codes after you turned on the console after the

screen went black the night before. A shut down of they system of that type would indicate that there was something interfering either with your ability to see images or could indicate an issue with your internal HD or an

update that didn't install correctly.

Please update us as to anything else you have tried and I hope that this helps out.

 

As @julian_ suggested, I'd do a power cycle. Please keep in mind that it may also take a while for your console to read games on the external drives. I am having the same issue. It may take up to 5 minutes for a 4tb drive to fully recognize all games installed
on it.

 

Thank you! I did the power cycle and they were all recognized as installed rather than being split into installed and uninstalled as it was. That was thag simple of a fix. Thank you!
