    Hi every time I play a game on the new xbox series s it keeps coming up syncing data for the game, it then says 'there is a temporary network problem, there may be a service outage. Please check service status and use game offline'. I just cancel this and
    can play the game okay and it's defo online, it's just annoying i have to keep doing this with every game.

    I have a network connection and speed is good. I have set the new console as my xbox home. I don't know what it's trying to sync and why its not doing it. I just want to stop it doing it. Thanks

    How to manage\update multiple Xboxes (efficiently) at same location?

    I have a mix of xbox ones, xbox one s, xbox one x, xbox series s and xbox series x. I have 18 xboxes trying to download a game update with that many xboxes becomes a huge hassle time sync.

    Try this procedure, hope it helps: Plug the power cord back into your Xbox Series X|S; Turn on the control; Press and hold the sync button on your Xbox Series X|S; Press the sync button on the controller until the time it starts flashing rapidly, then release it.

    Hi Connor!

    Please try to sign out your account first from your Series S console. Then sign in again your account to your old Xbox console and try to launch the game there. Check if you could still access your latest progress. If so, exit from the game and wait couple of minutes for the system to sync your progress to the Cloud.

    Once done, try to access the game on your Series S console.

    The saves are stored on the cloud. So once you start a game on the Series S, the saves will sync up.

    Turns out it was somehow trying to connect to either the xbox one s or xbox series s consoles in my house for some reason. Turning them off fixed it.

    Sidenote: In all my experiences with wireless xbox controllers (xbox 360, xbox one, xbox series x/s) the sync button needs to be held to be put into pairing mode (quarter ring rotating clockwise /flashing xbox logo), while the button on the console needs a single press, if it helps anyone.
