Morning everyone.

I woke up and decided to play some Assassin Creed Black Flag today. It was my first time launching it, after downloading it yesterday.

When I launched the game, It came up the credits e.g. Ubisoft ect. Just before it took me to the main menu, the screen went black. After i waited about 1min for the main menu to appear. There was still was no sign of it, so I turned the xbox off, took the
power plug out for ten seconds then rebooted the xbox back up. I launched the xbox again and there was still a black screen. I decided to wait and see what would happen. After 3mins of waiting, the main menu finally decided to load.

I fired up my recent saved game and came across another problem. The game wasn't for loading. After 4mins of waiting on the game to load, I gave up on trying.

I loaded Gears 5 and the same problem happened with it.

Is anyone else experiencing the same problem, or does anyone know how to resolve it?

Although you've tried a power cycle, try a hard reset; hold the power button for 10 seconds then press it again to reboot the system. Your games and saves etc aren't affected by a hard reset.

Hello Tawny, thanks for sharing that. I can suggest other possible solutions in that case:

Option A:

1. Sign out from your account on both Xbox app and Microsoft Store

2. Reset the Microsoft store cache using the wreset.exe command

3. Double check if everything is up to date via Windows Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update, also check for Updates via Microsoft store

4. Once everything is up to date try now to sign in with your account on both Xbox app and Microsoft Store

5. Finally open the Xbox app and see if you can install the game

Option B:

Open task manager and go to the startup tab, once there click "disable" on each app listed there

After that Restart the PC and see if the problem is solved

Option C:

Do a clean boot in your Windows PC. For that please follow this article

Hey MUHAMUD 360! Give these steps a shot in this order and let me know if it helps at all.

- Go to the settings and disable the 'Record with DVR' setting
- Hold the power button till your console turns off
- Unplug the power cable, and leave it unplugged for ~5 mins
- Plug it back in, and re-enable the option.
