Games that you enjoyed watching others play :)

Keralis who does cities skylines videos for PC. He even did one video of Planet Coaster. And as soon as I saw that video, I said to myself I just have to get this game now. Frontier charges 49 pounds for the pre-order (due out Q4, 2016) AND the alpha version
(lets you play the unfinished game while they add regular updates to it) which is like NZ$104. Even some Xbox 1 and PS4 games sell higher than that from authorized retailers in NZ. I know Microsoft charges a lot more for getting games on Xbox Live rather than
getting disc versions from retailers.

This week I subscribed to strictoaster's channel. He does high quality PC gaming including Planet Coaster and cities skylines. And don't worry, I'm subscribed to Xbox channel too.

I counted and I'm subscribed to 37 YouTube channels cuz I like them. I also have 72 subscribers. I'm not going for the moon though. Me and some of my Xbox friends are subscribed to each other too. I'm subscribed to salemslady, nettyplays (sister to stampy)
I watch her videos more than stampys. xgirlgermsx is an Australian girl who does like COD noob videos. Darksydephil did Final Fantasy XIII videos (PS3) and some of his commentary is funny but sometimes uses bad words. Final Fantasy XIII was my first Xbox 360
game when I got Xbox late 2010 and it was my first Final Fantasy game too.

 

The only time I watch somebody play is when I visit my friend's house, and he is absolutely hooked on anything COD related whereas I can't really stand the game. However I'm more than happy to watch him play it.

Transversely an ex gf of mine used to always want to watch me play resident evil 5, which I found slightly strange.

 

I read a news article that said that there are between 6 and 7 million people that watch Twitch everyday so obviously there's a market for watching people play.

 

Youtube has the higher market.

 

Right now, I've been enjoying watching a few Twitch streamers play Dead by Daylight.

Really hope this game comes to the Xbox.

 

I'll sometimes watch game sessions on youtube just to see if the game would appeal to me b4 buying a game as it often better than reviews. IOW: No paid hype, so you know its honest.

Just remember, if the game appeals to ya, stop watching it so as not to spoil it.

Warner Bros have been caught out paying youtubers to give their games good reviews.

You said youtube had no paid hype & was honest,i pointed out that it isn't always the case.

 

True enough, but i don't watch reviews, just the gameplay. By doing so I can get a better take on whether or not to buy a certain game.

I look for story, gameplayability (default control) how long/short the story (determinded by how many uploads and the length of each.

In this way I, me, myself is the reviewer and I know I'm not not paid!

 

I like watching let's play videos of story decision based games like Life is Strange for an example. Just like seeing what choices they made different to me and how they react to the story.

 

I only watch CS:GO, Dota, Lol, Starcraft and Age of Empires and only when it's competitive setting. All these other games I rather play myself unless it's a game I'm not sure is worth the money. Then I'll check out Let's Plays to decide if I should get the
game or forget about it.

 

The Rock Band / Guitar Hero games are always fun at parties.

Watching someone play a Kinect game can be hilarious at times.
