    Games take too long to start, Xbox will not reset


    I’m in alpha skip ahead Ring. Console is updated as of 1:00 am this morning. Now when I try to load a game, it says it takes too long to start, so I got back to main screen and try again. Keeps doing that. I hold Xbox button, click restart console and it just hangs. No restart, the Xbox light on console stays on but nothing happens. Have to unplug power cable to get it to turn off.

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. I'd be happy to help.

    Go ahead and do a
    hard reset and power cycle    . Hold down the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down and then remove the power cable from the Xbox and the power outlet for about 2-3 minutes. Then re-connect and
    turn on the Xbox.

    If that doesn't help then you will need to try out a
    soft factory reset    .

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Select System > Settings > System > Console info.
    3. Select Reset console.
    Make sure to select "Keep my games & apps" and have the correct account login information plus your WIFI password ready if you connect wireless because you will need to re-add the account's that were on the Xbox and re-connect to your network during the
    reset.

    Clear cache in your console.

    Press & Hold Power Button on your Xbox wait for 10 seconds. Xbox will be shutdown immediately. And then you turn on your Xbox again.

    It hasnt helped me and my xbox hasnt been able to run for the last month and a half and i can't find any answers apparently the dashboard is taking to long to start any ideas??
