Games stop installing at a certain percentage.

My games have just stopped installing at a certain percentage? For example, Mortal Kombat X stops installing at 26 percent every time .

Ea access games not installing

Ea access games not installing (stops at always same certain percentages for example fifa 18 stops after 1.2 gb installed) . My own digital games normally installing without problem. Pls solve this issue with ea access as i still have 10 month membership
but i can't use it at all. Thanx in advance from İstanbul.

 

Having problems with installing and updating games.

Titanfall stops installing at 48%.

Grand Theft Auto V stops installing at 20%.

Far Cry 4 stops installing at 34%.

These games stop installing at these percentages every single time I try to reinstall them.

I can download small titles like Spy Chameleon, Styx: Master of Shadows, Pool Nation FX, Terraria, The Escapists, Minecraft: Xbox One Edition, Massive Chalice. Child of Light, Chariot, and Crimson Dragon.

 

Is your gamertag's region (country) the same as the region you physically live in? If not then that may be the issue as some content is region locked and cannot be downloaded to a region that it was not originally intended for.

 

I'm running into this same issue. I've probably downloaded 20 games before I started encountering it. MS Support had no useful ideas.

I've been looking into this pretty aggressively, as it's driving me crazy. A trend I've discovered is that there's clearly a point at which the installation cuts out. It's not just at the same percentage every time, it's about the same amount of data every
time. In my two experiences, it cuts out at 9.1 and 9.2 gigs, and in your case with mortal kombat it's occurring at 8.85. I assume you have adequate hard drive space available, as I do. It seems that around nine gigabytes is the threshold for some reason,
and that it would be consistent across unrelated users seems rather remarkable. Perhaps this is something someone from Microsoft could explain?

In the meantime, I've performed a total system restore. I'll report back whether I break the magical 19% download on CoD.

 

Full restore was unsuccessful. By that I mean complete power cycling, unplugging everything, removing gamer tag, uninstalling the games completely, disconnecting internet.

My connection should be giving me about 75 mbps. During this most recent download i was getting around 30 mbps. When I hit that magical number 19%, things once again bit the dust. My bandwidth usage plummeted from an adequate 30mbps to the point where at
times it was being managed in bits per second. It seems like my download speed is being restricted.

chtucker, what's the origin of your internet connection? I'm wondering if there's any chance you're on a college campus. Maybe this isn't Microsoft's fault, but rather a matter of our providers making an effort to reduce data usage? If campus administrators
capped the data for a single download at, say, 10 gigs, that might explain why we're having this problem. It would also be extremely difficult to fix. You're one of the few other people who seem to be having an identical problem to mine, so I'd appreciate
any input you've got about your issue.
