Games saying installed but unrunable, and unmoveable - how to fix?

I keep getting the problem of games showing up as recently installed, but they don't respond when I try to run them, and also they do not let me move or copy them from Internal to External.

How to fix?

When I reboot, it shows the game in the Games section, but when I try to run it I get a 0x80270254 error saying "You need to install the game or app for this"... Why does it show it as installed but then say that it is not?!

When I look for it in the Store, it let's me select it to install, but then it immediately leaves the queue so doesn't install with that either.

With another game, I have issues also, but this one even shows up as "This product is installed" in the store, yet it won't run, nor let me uninstall it, as when I select it, and press the 3 lines button, the only options are "See in Microsoft Store", "File
info", and "Help", so I guess a full reset is the only way to fi this one. (I seem to be doing full resets on average once per week currently... to fix such issues).

Hi how many profiles do you have on you X1?if you have many profiles those have issues too?

This may be an issue with the internal drive on the console and you might want to consider sending the console in for repairs at https://devicesupport.microsoft.com

In the meantime please try deleting the affected games from your hard drive then select the external hard drive as the main drive to install to and redownload them.

I had this same issue with Destiny 2 a while back and couldn't play it or move it to or from the external. I had to install to the console.

Eh, I'm not so sure that the integrated transfer software can move those console-locked saves. It's intelligent enough not to move game installs. It may not move unmovable saves, either.

The old transfer software (which still works) will wholesale copy an entire HDD to another HDD, then format the old HDD. That software moves EVERYTHING, even things that can't be used after the move, like game installs.

If you tried it and can confirm it works with the integrated transfer software, great.

When i try to install the data pack 2 it says installation stopped how do i fix this?
