Games running 60fps

most games on the x run at 30fps with checkerboard or dynamic 4k not true 4k, the odd game like forza can do checkerboard 4k and 60fps but thats it, some games give you the option to run at 60fps with reduced resolution. the x hardware is not that powerful.

How exactly do you know they are running at 60fps on console. Most games such as red dead redemption are frame locked at 30fps and will not be able to run at 60fps on console. Are you sure you have not enabled blur and judder reduction on your tv? This is
a feature most tvs have these days that make it feel like you are playing a game at 60 or more fps.

What makes you think they are running at 60 fps?

You are most definitely not running RDR2 or AC Odyssey or any other locked 30 fps game at 60 fps because that simply isn't possible. These games are hard coded for 30 fps on One X.

If your display says it's 60Hz, this does not mean your game is running at 60 fps. It's internal frame rate will still be 30.

I'm now more of a PC gamer now and I have a high end PC with a Ray Tracing capable graphics card. I play AC Odyssey and RDR2 at 60 - or even higher with my 144Hz monitor - it's a night and day difference to playing on console. But, I can only do this because
my PCs CPU and graphics card has the processing power for it. Xbox One X does not.

I don't think RDR2 (like Odyssey, I'm playing it on X1X these days) works at 60fps on console, not even on X1X. You have probably activated a higher refresh rate or motion blur in your TV settings.

Ill note that just because a game "runs" at 60fps, doesnt mean the game actually ever even runs at 60fps, including CoD.
