Games reviewed before being released

yep, they can spam a forum with hate but cant read reviews before they buy a game, go figure

Definitely Witcher 2.This game had high scores in all the reviews but was absolute garbage.Im wondering if this game was even playtested before being released and how many reviewers played it themselves.Ninja Gaiden 3 was a huge letdown too.Halo 4 to me
is a disapointment too.

I agree, could do with some details, I live in the UK and have to wait until Friday and with reviewers getting the game so late and then not being allowed not to review the game until the day one patch release, I am staring to worry that the console version
is going to be a big letdown, kind of like a rubbish film license that gets released before it gets reviewed.

The two sites that have reviewed it on metacritic, hardly give it the score I was expecting.

I do take review sites reviews in mind. I'm not a "hardcore" gamer and therefore most of their reviews have me in mind.

That said...the most I look for in their reviews is functionality. Does the game have bugs? Was the game rushed? Does the game work mechanic wise?

These are things that ppl need to know before the release date...and therefore...I hate review embargoes.

It's just another way of the power being shifted from the gamers.

As far as i know,"every" games got review embargos.

So,i'm used to,sometimes we get reviews before release,sometimes the day of release.

PS: Watch Dogs release is next week,reviews starting May 27th.
