Games Requiring Re-purchase

Hello, to start off, this isn't the correct branch to post this but I wasn't exactly sure because I couldn't find anything with xbox live as a whole, so move it if you must.

My issue though, which does relate with backwards compatible games too, is that lots of my games are saying that I do not own them anymore and won't let me play them. The problem is, it's not just my xbox, because on this site, I've gone to
said games, and I've been prompted to purchase them, meanwhile I'm also looking at my purchase history with those very same games on it. I thought it was xbox originally because I'm in the preview program and often get plagued by bugs, but this is on my actual
account too and there's a number of games that I bought, that I can't play anymore because now the system is saying I didn't buy them, while they're all in my purchase history. If anyone's had this issue, I'd love to hear your solution, but I'll probably
have to wait 'til someone from xbox sees this and fixes my account.

Fable 2 Platinum Hits Edittion

Can confirm this seems fixed, I put my Fable 2 ( classics ) disc in my XB1 and clicked to install the game ( 8.1gb ), game started installing, checked queue in "My games and apps", saw that my XB1 auto pulled the dlc ( premium versions of Knot hole island
and see the future ) without requiring re-purchase

Today is fable 2 day for me

Hi there iMadgun8! Just to clarify, games sold on Games on Demand requiring an Online Pass for online multiplayer do not include the Online Pass in the purchase price. You can purchase an Online Pass via the Marketplace.

GFWL would require the DVD in order to install the game. My recommendation would be to re-purchase the game on Steam. It's on sale quite often, and is pretty cheap too.

Changing your email wouldn't disassociate your account from your achievements or purchases. Perhaps the games were purchased on a different account though. On the 360 if a game was downloaded directly to the console (even if purchased by a different gamertag)
then the game would be playable by all gamertags on that console.

As for the achievements please try launching a backwards compatible game then follow the instructions in the video below to delete then redownload your tag via the backwards compatible menu. After that, play a BC title and earn an achievement. Hopefully
within a couple of weeks after that any older 360 achievements should show up in your account.

Nope, had the same account since I had my 360. Never changed my gamertag once.

If I changed the e-mail associated with the Gamertag, does that actually change the achievements and games associated somehow? Or is the account really the Gamertag and not the e-mail? I believe that I did change the e-mail because I no longer had access
to it. Could that have unfortunately screwed it up? If not, seems like something is wrong. Because I could probably boot up my 360 and the Resident Evil remake will probably be on it, and I actually do have it in my achievements list, but it says I have to
buy it again... What's up with that? Definitely don't have a disc of that, it was digital only.

Hi,

All of the games you purchased previously for Xbox 360 and are
Backwards compatible should show on your account. If a digital Xbox 360 game you owned digitally is not on the BC list it won't show as available to download.

If your achievements for a game are not showing on your account then you must have played it using a different account. Same would be true for a purchased game. If it's not there you probably bought it with either a different account or you had the disc
version of the game.
