    Im fed up with this stupid Xbox. Everytime a game of mine needs an update it reinstalling the whole damn game all over again. I'm sick and tired of this crap. It's been happening since November. It's happened with middle Earth shaow of war, WWE 2k18, cod
    ww2, assasins Creed Origins hard copies and digital downloads. It only happens with these games but they are the games I always play. Can anyone help? Yes, I have cleared my cache.

    Hey there WeeklongSleet20!

    What's going on when you're try to update Ride 2? If there's a particular error, try uninstalling the game and reinstall to see if there's any change.

    Games reinstall when there's an update!!

    The game updates are managed and controlled by each game developer. However, it should just install the update and not reinstall the game.

    Someone posted the same issue with Destiny 2 after they canceled the update, they had to reinstall the game.

    Are your games installed to an external hard drive? Maybe its trying to reinstall to the main hard drive on the Xbox?

    You could try a hard reset but I'm not expecting that it would fix the issue.

    Hard reset the Xbox by holding down the power button on the front of the Xbox for 15 seconds. After the 15 seconds let go of the power button then restart the Xbox.

    I have done that plenty of times it doesn't help. They are installed to the internal memory. I don't cancel the updates. The game says it has an update and I push the button to update the game and it starts reinstalling the entire game.

    sounds like updates. when BF4 updates it "reinstalls" in the menu but its really patching the game.
