Games Refuse to Run for No Discernible Reason

My Xbox One has suddenly began to simply not play games properly. Here's the catch: it only has problems with games! Netflix, YouTube, Crackle, Twitch, and DVDs run without a hitch; physical and digital games simply don't work. The splash
screen comes up, but then it's nothing but black, pressing the home button takes me back to the menu as usual. I have no idea what the problem is.

this lag is just stupid

Yes to the freezing but no to the lag. This game seems to run very smoothly for me with virtually no discernible lag.

EA Sports UFC won't run at 60 frames a second on Xbox One and PS4 because there's "little discernible benefit", according to EA Canada's creative director Brian Hayes.

Try doing a hard reset by holding the power button on the front of the console until it turns off then unplug it from the outlet for 30 sec then plug it back in and power back on. You could also try clearing local saved data.

In order to discern whether this is a wireless issue or a network issue, are you able to test the connection with a ethernet cable run directly from the console to your modem?

It wasn't upon submitting. I always copy my post before submitting for that very reason. Even IE has eaten posts that way on me before. No this was the tab closing for no discernable reason. It had never done that before.
