Games previously played on Xbox won't work. Keeps asking for disk. Won't recognise new Xbox ...

played fall out without issue one night. Turned Xbox off after saving and exiting to save screen. Next time I turn it on it asked for disk when I tried to play. Turned Xbox off and on. Tried other games previously played. Won't read those disks either. Tried
new game not yet installed. Said it couldn't read disk.

Plays games saved on Xbox no problem.

Overwatch error

please help! Bought new Xbox one and new overwatch disc. Played for 2 days great. But now it won't launch. Keeps asking do I own this game and to insert the disc! Keep trying but getting same error. This is for my son who is currently pretty upset his Xmas
present won't work and in turn, driving me MAD!

 

GTA V disc will not play because the disc cannot be read

My xbox keeps saying that my GTA V disc (and no other games) is unreadable. I even tried using my friends disc and it still won't work. I have also previously played GTA V on this console

 

Did you try power cycling the console? (Hold down power button for 10 seconds)

It might be that you optical drive is failing.

I've had this issue since launch, just hold the disc until you feel it trying to get pulled in and then hold it a little longer then let it go. It works every time for me.
