Games only recognising controller when buttons pressed.

Currently using DS4Windows. Disabled and enabled the controller and the same thing occurs.
After checking DS4, all inputs work fine. On some games, the controller continually scrolls through menu buttons (as if the stick is down even though it isn't, and it doesn't say it is on DS4), and on other games such as forza the controller is only recognised when a button is held.

Can't see any available at all on Sony's website, and any articles i've checked have said it isn't need if via a USB connection, which mine is. No GeForce driver updates available either.
When the controller uses DS4 it does connect to an Xbox 360 emulated controller. When I switch it to the DualShock emulator nothing happens on any games at all. However, it being on an Xbox emulator shouldn't make a difference considering it has been on that before.

That's odd.

Have you tried to check if all controller drivers are up to date? Try checking Sony's website to see if there aren't any available there.

Try to use DS4Windows and then, after starting the game try to disable and enable the controller in device manager.

If I plug the joystick in it comes up as "USB Game Controllers" but pressing the buttons, throttle or moving the stick isn't recognised when I try to map them to controls.
