Games on Xbox One X not updating automatically

I have my console set to instant - on and the box "When Xbox is off, turn off storage" is unchecked. I have my games mostly installed on my external hard drive made by Seagate, designed to work with Xbox.

I am not facing any issues of the games not loading etc, so it's just a matter of automatically updating them.

Not just that, but even if I go to My games & Apps>Manage>Updates, and wait for the updates to show up so I can manually update them, there are never none, not even after waiting for 15 minutes, not until I decide to launch a game that needs to be updated and then I have to wait for it to be updated.

I have my console connected via Ethernet to my internet.

I also am a beta tester in the Xbox insider app, for Xbox software, but I have been facing this problem for years.

Does anyone know why is this happening?

I successfully resolved this by uninstalling and reinstalling the Game. XBOX ONE.The xbox ONe is set to automatically update and there were indications on the queue page that it was installing (the update before i uninstalled it) but no activity was taking place. I also have a series X which did update correctly and automatically.

Is your storage turned off when the console is off because that could be the issue. It should be in the same settings as Instant on / power saver modes.

Does that delete any progress you have in the game?

I would presume that if a game is Xbox One X Enhanced, those benefits will also appear when the game is played on Xbox Series X, along with any Optimized for Xbox Series X benefits that same game might receive through future updates. I doubt seriously it
would be a step backward when played on the superior hardware.

Keep in mind the Smart Delivery feature, which will enable Xbox Live to send the best possible version of the game to Xbox Series X automatically. So that may be the Xbox One X Enhanced version, or (if the developer makes such an update possible) the Optimized
for Xbox Series X version. Given the choice, I'd want the Optimized version.
