    xbox live gold share home xbox?

    hello am i correct in thinking, i can share a gold subscription on the same xbox one?

    gamer tag one - no gold sub

    gamer tag two - gold sub (this is set to home console)

    both gamer tags on the same xbox one.

    if so will the number displayed on the gamer tag go up for the number of years as an active gold member on both gamer tags or only the gamer tag the gold subscription was redeemed on?

    Reasoning On Gamer tag Change

    Your gamertag would have been changed because it violated the code of conduct. You would need to post here for an official answer as to why -

    forums.xbox.com/.../41.aspx

    Once it's changed, you can't get it back.

    Hello Ron,

    Thanks for coming to the forums. Is the Houdini202 an old gamer tag of yours? The reason why it is showing is you play on Activision account for Call of duty games. You will need to update the gamer tag with Activision, for it to show the correct gamer tag.

    We're afraid that if you're seeing that, that means your one-time free gamertag change was already used by your account. A one-time free gamertag change is only provided to an account if their gamertag was automatically selected for them when they joined
    Xbox Live. If you received an auto-generated gamertag and changed your gamertag once before, that would have been your free change and you would not be eligible for another one.

    Once you're signed in, you should be able to click on the gamertag/player and sign in as a different one.
